	IT'S A HEAT WAVE!!! It's actually 41 degrees right now and neither snow nor rain nor single digits temperatures are in the forecast! Yes, the front and back doors are open to get some fresh air in this place. Gonna make tea and get caught up.

	Afternoon. I am seriously "off stride" due to the time change. The fact that I didn't sleep well last night didn't help -- nightmares about a leaking roof, dozens of firetrucks/vehicles screaming past the house among other things combined with leg cramps made for a not terribly restful night. HOWEVER.... I am currently stuffed with sausage gravy (homemade) and biscuits (from scratch via Bisquick) so I expect the day to improve. I'm making my low sodium stew for dinner -- which Spirit calls "vegetable soup" 'cause of all the potatoes, carrots, celery and peas that go in it -- so it's gonna be a day to eat unusually well. I have my after meal tea and I'm gonna get caught up.

	We're back. We had a light lunch in town since we had more breakfast than we usually do. I'll be starting dinner later than I normally would so we will have an appetite for the soup I plan to make for dinner.

	About an hour ago -- before he left for work -- Skywise saw a tabby cat that "wasn't there." Specifically, he saw the hindquarters of a cat that could NOT have been either of the kits. We can only assume that the Hearth Queen made herself visible for a few seconds while making her rounds....

	Afternoon. We took off in really heavy fog this morning to make our weekly Bloomington grocery run. We're also plotting a run to Kokomo to look at that van. We'd have to do it on a Saturday since it's about a 2 hour drive each way and they're closed on Sundays. sigh So some rearrangement of our Saturday routine will be in order. Skywise will be leaving for work in about an hour so I'd better get organized!
