	The clouds have moved in and the expected snow is starting to appear around the state. None here yet. It's currently 14 - 15 degrees and it feels like a heat wave.

	It's up to 17 degrees and it's snowing. Not sure how much we're going to get but at least the mail will be delivered tomorrow.

	Afternoon. We went into town to finish our shopping that has been completely screwed up this week. They haven't done anything to the roads out here. I suspect that since it's supposed to warm into the high 50's tomorrow and rain, the county decided not to waste salt and effort to clear the roads today. They sanded them a bit and when we came back, our mailbox was knocked off the post so the plow must have gone by. sigh Now to get caught up.

	It warmed up a lot today but not as much as predicted. Hopefully that means that flooding won't be a problem. The weather has the potential to be wacky later in the week but my fingers are crossed that it won't be too bad. I'm heading out. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. The package we were expecting has apparently been stolen. Whoever did it is in for a disappointment. The only things in the package are curtains which probably won't bring them much when they fence them.

We aren't entirely sure what happened but the package we thought was stolen yesterday showed up today. We've already notified the post office that it was "lost" so if they call us, I'll tell them that it has arrived and to stand down. We're not sure what happened although Skywise has an idea. Not that it matters. The curtains are hung and the girls are happy. Right now, there's some loose talk online that another polar vortex will hit on Saturday. I can't find any independent confirmation but the mainstream weather sites don't normally forecast that far ahead. Still, I'm gonna get my shopping done before then!

	Well, it's nearly 3 am and Skywise hasn't called yet. Must be another rough night. I just hope nothing has broken down and it's just the fog that's making the trucks late. Since my cognitive functions are shutting down for the night, I'm gonna head out while I'm still coherent. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. He got home around 4:30 am. Some of the outlying districts reported that they'd "just" gotten their backlog -- due to the polar vortex disruption -- cleared last night. I slept in this morning and actually feel almost human. Skywise says that tonight shouldn't be as rough. I hope he's right.

	Afternoon. We got about 2 inches last night and more is expected although I hope it holds off for a while. You can hear the creek from the front steps which you normally can't. The water level in the creeks need to go down a bit. Getting caught up before I get prone. My legs don't seem to like this weather...

	We had rain but it was more of an afternoon long drizzle, nothing like last night. Last I looked we had a Thunderstorm Watch in effect but nothing that strong has developed around here.

	Dry heaves... that's what I get for reading an excerpt from what was supposed to be a "romance novel" that is instead "smut' or "soft core porn" although it's sold as "erotica". As if giving it a trendy label will make it other than what it is.... Please excuse me while I get it under control. At least I wasn't "triggered" in Barnes & Nobel......

	Skywise has left. He's taking the long way to 37. Too many low places along his regular route. Water is backing up in the drain but it looks like the rain might be moving out and it doesn't seem to be getting higher so we might catch a break. Skywise knows how he wants to fix it and he WILL get the only thing he needs to do it tomorrow or there will be Hell -- namely ME -- to pay!

	The wind is gusting and the temperature is dropping. At least it's stopped raining so it isn't sleet/freezing rain. Hopefully the water that was running across the road when we came home this morning will be gone by the time it dropped below freezing.
