	Afternoon. I slept in this morning since there's no place we have to run off to. I'm going to be putting our dinner in the crockpot shortly -- another beef roast. Now I'm going to get caught up.

	I've been gathering research/plans for a new spring/summer project. None of the plans I've found is "perfect" but I have enough data now to design something that is. We might need to buy some power tools but we should do that anyway, living in the country as we do. Dinner took forever to cook -- it was a large roast -- but we're all comfortably stuffed now. I've been dealing with a nearly complete loss of appetite thanks to the metformin but dinner tasted good. I'm having to force myself to eat most of the time as nothing sounds good or tastes particularly good. The loss of appetite is helpful for losing weight but I need to eat when I take my medication, otherwise it will raise all kinds of intestinal hell with my innards. (Trust me, you don't want more detail!) So I force enough down for that. Yes, it is depressing, especially since I'm the cook! Since it's late, I'm going to head out. Tomorrow is the first workday of the new year. Oh happy day! Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. Back from Thursday errands. Found out that Georgia Pacific whose papers we've used forever decided to get out of the printer paper business a year ago. We have a small stockpile that "should" last until we can find an acceptable substitute. More > I will do an inventory today and see how many of my jobs I can complete with the paper I have.

	Just finished a leftover roast beef sandwich. Unlike lunch, it tasted pretty good. Skywise is a bit worried because I'm eating so little but I think my stomach has shrunk and it doesn't hold as much as it used to. At least it seems that way.

	Morning. We got a half to three quarters of an inch of rain last night. I haven't measured it yet so it's a guess. We're back from town and I'm rather annoyed. What I specifically wanted to get wasn't available so I'll have to make an extra stop tomorrow. sigh

	I forced myself to eat a sandwich a while ago. So far, so good. I'll have a little something later so I can take my pills. I'm hoping that eating a little more through the day will cut back on the unpleasant side effects of my medication. They could be worse but they're inconvenient enough.

	I've been useful and dinner's over. I've taken my pills and I'll check my glucose before bed -- which will be a while. The predicted rain/snow failed to materialize and I, for one, am not complaining. That sort of thing will come soon enough.

	The leftover New Year's Day "roast beast" (about 2 pounds of it) is currently slowly simmering/soaking in BBQ sauce. It will be part of dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow and snacks until it runs out.

	What's happenin' is that another "Ghostbusters shooting war" is breaking out on Facebook and I'm having none of it. For all I know, it is just like the attacks made on me at a certain online forum (that will remain nameless) some years ago. No proof, just allegations by anonymous females which are easy enough to do online and in this "social climate" in which to be accused is to be assumed guilty. "Fraud" is being alleged -- among other things -- but nothing that fits the definition of fraud supposedly happened. As for the rest of it.... when someone with influence dislikes you, it isn't hard for them to find people who will spin any lie about you that suits their agenda, especially when those people dislike you as well. I don't believe any of what is being said given my own experience and I'm staying out of it as much as I can. People are going to take sides and I really don't want or need the aggravation. Stress is bad for my glucose levels! I just want to read interesting stuff on Facebook, touch base with a few people and look at cute pictures of cats and kittens. That might be too much to ask but it's what I'm shooting for.
