	Afternoon. I've been busy researching and neglected to post here. Bad me! It was pretty foggy this morning -- all the local school districts were on a 2 hour delay -- but the fog is finally letting up. Good thing, the schools will be dismissing soon if they haven't already.

	Sitting here with my head in a towel. I finally got my hair washed. Too many things demanding my attention lately so I have to make time for me. Of course, the sink is still full of dirty dishes but I'll get to them when my wet hair is only damp and more or less under control.

	Afternoon. The meteorological foolishness has moved out for the most part -- there's some drizzle but that's it. I found a cookbook I was looking for -- *America's Test Kitchen's The Ultimate Burger Book*. Since I'm going to be more carnivore than omnivore for the foreseeable future, I'm going to be concentrating on books about meat cookery. Skywise isn't fond of fish but I'll be looking into that too. It could just be that he hasn't had the "right" kind of fish. I'll admit that mass produced breaded cod isn't very inspiring.

	The temperature is down to 24 degrees and it sounds like the wind has died somewhat. I'm glad I replaced most of our curtains with insulated ones. That should keep us a bit warmer this winter. I don't for a minute believe that the mild weather we've been having will last. That would be expecting too much.

	And again, I made a post that didn't show up. So, I will try again. I saw the doctor this morning and I am indecently pleased with myself. My A1c came back as 5.5. When i was first tested in October my A1c was 11.1. What this means is that if I were being diagnosed today, I wouldn't be classified as diabetic. My results elicited a "WOW" from my doctor and she's happy too. This post is a poor imitation of what I first composed but it will have to do. sniff Post # 42,333
