I had fun watching the Amazon driver drive all over the area via tracking. I now have my delivery, everything is intact and I'm happy. Plus, we still have water.

Since all deliveries have been made today, I'm gonna crash and maybe nap. There wasn't enough hours between when Skywise got home and when we had to get up this morning!

We still have water.
The car has been towed to the shop.
And according to Skywise, things aren't quite as chaotic at work as they were last night. Hopefully, he'll be home at a reasonable hour tonight. I'm going to attempt to wash the dishes I couldn't do last night and, if successful, last night's planned menu will be served tonight.

Dinner is cooking.
Water is still available so what was planned for last night is on tonight.
I've been amusing myself by prowling the net. Some of the pages I had links to are no longer there and I've cleaned them out but I "did" find some interesting sites that I've been reading. Nothing political, thank the Gods!

Skywise is nearly home -- by my calculations -- so I'm going to head out. I'll reflect on the significance of October 15th tomorrow. Right now, I'm heading out.

Afternoon.
We're back from the produce run.
It's raining, finally, and as a consequence, I found out that the sole of one of my sneakers was split. I did my shopping with a soaked left foot. *sigh* I guess it's time to switch to fall/winter shoes.
Now to get caught up.

Thursday, the 15th will be the one year anniversary of my diagnosis. I can't decide if it seems like "yesterday" or feels like "forever".

On this day, last year, I received my diabetes diagnosis. I already knew about the arthritis. That started a seemingly endless round of doctor's, nutritionist's and physical therapist's appointments. These in addition to Skywise's appointments and everyone's dental appointments. Smiley Things have slowed down and we've settled into a routine as far as glucose testing and pill taking is concerned. My morning fasting glucose readings have been in the normal range for months now. The doctor reduced my medication -- Smiley -- and my blood pressure is in the normal range most of the time. [Election "season" does NOT help with that!] My knees are still a literal pain but I'm managing with rest and supplements and the occasional use of OTC painkillers. I'd be farther along with my arthritis treatment but for the pandemic. Arthritis isn't considered "life threatening" and what needs to be done can't be done over the phone so until my doctor is back taking "in person" appointments regularly, I'll just have to cope.

I still miss The Queen.  Cry
She's been gone since 10/14/17. I still haven't made a memorial post for her. Maybe it's because part of me doesn't believe she's gone. Forever.  She was such a constant presence for so long it seems like she's just outside patrolling and keeping an eye on things and not "gone". I still find myself leaving room for her on my pillow while I'm sleeping. I still pull my feet up in the bed while sleeping so I won't push her off in my sleep.
I don't "miss" her as she was those last couple of years/months as her age caught up with her but I miss her as she was in her prime. Proud. Stubborn. And absolute Queen of the Neighborhood.
Rest well, Beloved. Run free. I will always love you...  Cry

Every phone call that I need to take has come through. Car's ready.
Bank needs more documentation. *sigh*
Skywise's next doctor's appointment confirmed... AGAIN.
Gonna go get off my feet for a while.

It's getting crazy out there with Twitter and Facebook censoring the NY Post and YouTube taking down channels that challenge the "approved" narrative.
"They" are running scared or they wouldn't be going to such extreme lengths to suppress this information. Unfortunately for them, it's getting out regardless and the act of censorship/suppressing it will make all but the most brain-dead VERY curious and they WILL find the information. Especially with the President talking about it and alternate media outlets that aren't controlled by "Big Media" or dependent on YouTube or Facebook spreading the word. Only the most morally corrupt will see nothing wrong with it.

Biden or at least his son, will be lucky to make it to Election Day without being arrested.

Also looking through my files for guided meditations. No luck yet.

Afternoon.
We're back from "payday" errands. Smiley
We.... picked up the car from the shop and came home.
Then we headed out again in the van and....
Paid the property taxes,
Deposited Skywise's check
and had lunch.
Since there's nothing that we ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, HAD TO GET TODAY, we put off shopping until later. We'll probably be spreading the shopping out over a few days since we'll need to go to more than one store to get everything.

Now, I'm going to sit down, hopefully STOP vibrating and get caught up.

Pleased with myself.
I figured out how to fix a "smiley" problem. All the smileys on the list work now. The new ones are formatted a bit differently so select them off the list and save yourself aggravation.

I've been listening to my favorite playlists tonight. I needed a break from just about everything but especially politics. We've already voted so for us, it's just waiting for everything to be counted on Election Night. Skywise and I decided that waiting in a long line made longer by social distancing and out in the open -- our usual polling place is the town's fire station and the line usually stretches into the parking lot -- was not something we wanted to do with our bad knees and "who knows what" weather. So we did "early voting" last week and come November 3rd, we'll be safely away from the crowds.
Skywise hasn't called yet but I'm going to head out. I'm getting sleepy and I'd like to sound coherent when I say "goodnight".

Afternoon.
Back from errands.
Got off to a late start thanks to the van being a bit cranky. It worked perfectly while Skywise was taking it to work but today it balked a bit. Maybe it was feeling jealous since the car is back.....

Covid not withstanding, life is good.
Hubby is employed and cruising toward retirement.
We have some health "issues" but everything is well controlled and our knee "problems" will be dealt with in due time. I'll admit I'm not looking forward to bi-lateral knee replacement and the year long (more or less) recovery and rehab time and I'll be putting it off as long as possible but I won't be in pain from my knees forever. I don't need to use my cane most of the time since supplements and rest are helping a lot. Skywise's knee has gotten worse since he fell off the loading dock but he'll be seeing the doctor -- finally and in person! -- this week and he'll talk to her about it. It may not be as bad as he thinks.
As of this morning, I've lost nearly 49 pounds.  Smiley Only 30 to 35 pounds to go. I should be hitting my goal weight in another year -- 3 pounds a month is certainly doable! I'm already thinking about new clothes, something I haven't done in years. Yes, I'm going to be wearing roughly the same size I did in my mid-twenties and yeah, I'm gonna flaunt it a little. A lot if Skywise has his way!  Smiley
Smiley I wonder how I'll look in the hot pants I wore back in the day.....

Afternoon.
I've been busy installing emergency lights in advance of the next power outage (I know there will be one!) since we got back from lunch. I need to get more lights but the vital areas have at least one emergency light. I'm finally siting down with some tea to catch my breath and rest my knees before I start my next round of chores.

Been busy all afternoon, getting caught up after vacation.
Dinner's cooking and I'm presently looking at an outfit I need to make.  Sewing Sewing 2
I've been looking for a component for the piece of jewelry that I'll be making to go with it. I've found two suitable pieces, now I just have to decide which one I like the best and then come up with the money to buy it. All part of the "updated" me that I'm working on....  Smiley  Little Witch Flying

Dinner's over.
I've been hunting up and adding more smileys to the list. Perhaps it is a weakness or an irritation (to some) but I love smileys and finding just the right one to express my thought is why I have so many here.

Morning.
Skywise is currently at his doctor's appointment while I hold down the fort. Hopefully, it will all be routine although he will fill her in on the accident he had in April.
