	Everything that can be removed from the porch has been removed. All the clothes I had on are in the washer. I was filthy. Currently taking another dose of painkiller. I'm already/still in pain and I expect it to be worse tomorrow. My back, shoulders and arms are already aching. Skywise has a better idea of what's happened, what needs to be done and what he wants to do. First up: We're going to need some jack posts. We'll likely get those tomorrow.

	Dinner's over. It was good. I've written checks for every bill that's come in so far -- just in case the chaos kicks it up a notch. Skywise will take them to work tomorrow. 	Afternoon. Emergency run to Home Depot was a success and there's enough support under the porch floor to keep it from collapsing further. It's still dangerous to walk on -- the girls and I have strict orders to stay off of it -- but it shouldn't fall into the basement on its own. Skywise is formulating ideas about what to do which will turn into a plan. He'll be having a vacation week soon and that's probably when most of the work will be done so he has time to settle on a plan. I'm just going to stay out of his way if I can't help!

	Afternoon. This morning was a lot calmer than the last two, thank the Gods! Currently checking out herbal suppliers. I am NOT happy with the service I'm "not" getting from a vendor that is supposed to be a good, reliable source. I'm not seeing it. So.... I'm going to order elsewhere so I can get on with my work and when what I ordered from the first vendor shows up, I'll have extra. And I won't be ordering from them again!

	Dinner's in the oven. The cake is cool so it's time to make the frosting. Skywise wants "Death by Chocolate" so it's my "superfudge" frosting on chocolate cake. He just called. Catastrophe of the Mechanical/Electronic Persuasion has struck the Post Office. Nothing is moving. He'll be home when he's home. He will get enormous hugs when he gets here. Post #44,555

	"Track and Confirm" is back up so I'm hopeful that the part of the system that's where Skywise is is back in operation. Hope so anyway...

	Afternoon. DAMN WHAT A MORNING!!! The first thing we discovered was that before we could go into town for lunch, we had to cut up and move roughly half of the persimmon tree next to the honeysuckle bush that had split off and fell across the driveway some time during the night. In addition, it fell on the phone line that runs from the pole to the Old House. We got it off but the wire will have to be replaced. It's sagging too low. Because the ground was wet, soft and on a slope, I nearly fell three or four times while helping Moonie and Skywise. I'll have to call the repair line later to get on the list -- I know they have one -- but first.... painkiller. My knees hurt like hell, so much so that I may need two ibuprofen instead on one. I'll take one and if that doesn't do the trick, I'll take another. For the moment, I'm going to get caught up before I have to stand up again...

	Afternoon. Today is better, so far. The phone company was out while we were gone and got the saggy phone line pulled back up so we could pull into the driveway without one of us having to get out and hold it up so the van could pass under it. NOW, if the trash -- which should have been picked up on Tuesday -- would be picked up, that would leave only one screw-up left for me to bitch about....

	If the trash isn't picked up in the morning, I'll be on the phone or sending an email. The payment has cleared out checking account so they can't claim they haven't been paid. Probably a crew unfamiliar with the route or too lazy to do the work (that's happened before). Anyway, either it gets picked up tomorrow or I start yelling.

	Afternoon. Skywise is on his way to work, having puzzled out some problems with the "back porch problem". I'm looking to get some Dictation software that's a few levels up from what I'm using. It's okay but I'm looking at transcribing over a year of audio lectures plus follow up Q & As and that's a LOT of talk and what I'm using now requires an obscene amount of editing. Especially since there doesn't appear to be any way to add words to the software's dictionary and these lectures use a LOT of words that the software doesn't recognize which requires me to take time during the editing process to look up words. I don't expect it to recognize Tibetan but ordinary English... THAT I expect it to recognize! Anyway, I'm looking into what's available for a Mac. Right now, I'm going to catch up then probably get prone 'cause my legs are killing me today.

	The phone just rang. Unknown caller. It wouldn't stop ringing so I tried to get up to answer it. "Tried" is the operative word. Pain shot through my right leg at the knee and I couldn't put my weight on it. In a few minutes, I'm going to shut everything down and somehow get prone. I'll probably have to take a painkiller. 	Took painkiller and I've spent most of the afternoon off my feet which seems to have helped. I can move around at least. I was bored out of my skull and mad that I couldn't do anything -- useful or not -- but at least I'm not in agony every time I attempt to stand up.

	We're back from the Home Depot run. I think/hope we have everything Skywise needs to fix/repair/rebuild the back porch floor. I "hurried" too much while there so the next item on my "List" is chocolate milk, supplements and painkillers! Then I will attempt to get something useful done. I have my cane at hand -- it was in the van yesterday -- but I'm hoping I won't need it.
