	Lord Purrington has done nothing today except eat and sleep. I suspect that wherever he goes on these excursions, he does not have a safe, secure place to sleep unlike here. So he must have been pretty tired when he arrived this morning. He hasn't even made a fuss to be let out. Getting him to the vet tomorrow shouldn't be a problem.

	Morning. There and Back Again..... to the vet. LP has received his first round of inoculations for all the feline diseases as well as liquid worm medicine which he did NOT like.... Skywise got sprayed with it. And LP DID flirt with the female vet tech. His surgery is scheduled for July 21st. He'll get his microchip then too. Moonie and I already plan to keep him in the Old House for his pre-surgery fast.

	We had some excitement. LP escaped -- twice -- and I nearly crippled myself trying to beat him to the back door that had been left open. The second time he was heading for the woods when Moonie caught him. If we didn't have to give him worming medicine (he has a tapeworm) for the next two days, we've have let him go and we will once he's has his last dose.

	After his second dose of worm medicine, LP made two attempts to escape. He made it the second time. Fortunately, I saw him lounging in the yard and sent Moonie out to collect him before he could decide to go on walkabout. On the plus side, he and SunLord were nose to nose and there was no hissing, spitting, swatting or other antisocial behavior. THAT is progress. Maybe coming home smelling like the vet's office has something to do with it. I've closed up the cat door for the day. Letting the others in and out will be a nuisance but it's necessary to keep LP inside. After his last dose tomorrow, he'll be allowed to come and go as he pleases. We're hoping he'll be pleased to stay here.

	No significant rain so far. I've been working on the last lesson all evening. I won't get finished tonight. I could if it wasn't so late, my cognitive functions were misfiring and I didn't have to finish making dinner. It will DEFINITELY get done tomorrow since there's only about five minutes left to correct. I'm going to head out now to finish making dinner and clear my head. 	Afternoon. Rain is forecast for today but nothing but sprinkles so far. Everything so far has fizzled out. I will not complain. LP has had his last dose of worm medicine and has been "released" as we promised. I don't know who he's visiting but at least he's been vaccinated and "should" be worm free. He left his collar in the house. sigh He left it by the front door, sneaky kitty.

	The weather is starting to get lively in the northern third of the state. Nothing here yet but it looks like that could change before morning. If LP doesn't get back before then, I hope he has a safe and dry place to ride it out.

	The storm line seems to be moving more northeast than east and not very quickly -- which means the poor people under it are getting pounded since it doesn't seem to be weakening any even this long after sundown.

	Afternoon. Widespread rain is out of the forecast. The whole line has moved north so anything that we get today will be "pop-ups" which could happen but it won't be any hours long downpours. There's a lot on my plate today -- "course stuff" and chores -- so I'd better get started.

	The line of storms has blown up again along the same line as yesterday. Still moving north northeast and more or less stationary. NOT heading this way although Benton County (northwest of Lafayette) is under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for about the next hour. From the way things look, that could be extended or expanded.

	Grass cutting got rained out, much to Skywise's disgust. Try again next weekend. I'm currently debating painkillers. I helped clean up the yard so he could mow and my knees/legs are letting me know it. sigh
