	Storm front headed this way. It's currently strengthening. I hope it holds together even if it means thunder, lightning and downpours. We need the rain.

	Afternoon. We got to bed at 4 am so we got a late start this morning. We went to town for lunch but it took longer than usual 'cause huge steel bridge support beams were being delivered to Ohio Street and it tied up traffic. We ended up eating at Arby's instead of Wendy's as we'd intended. Spirit was a little discombobulated at first but she rallied. She and Skywise have already worked out tomorrow's lunch plans. Skywise is on his way to work and I'm getting caught up.

	Afternoon. Busy day but we got everything done that needed doing. Fortunately, there were NO bridge beams being delivered today although we did drive under them since they were put in place yesterday. It is actually cooler outside than inside so I've shut off the A/C for the day. We need some fresh air in here! Skywise is on his way to work and I'm getting caught up.

	Afternoon. First up: after weeks of sending out emails announcing planned maintenance, my internet service provider finally did it last night and my access was cut off at about 12:15 am. So I couldn't get here to say goodnight. I also couldn't report that while she was taking a mouse out to be released, Moonie found -- or was found by -- Lord Purrington! He stayed outside with Moonie until Skywise came home. (This was a little before 2 am.) Then the three of them came inside. LP immediately starting chowing down like he hadn't eaten in a week but he isn't skinny and his coat is soft and shiny so someone has been feeding him regularly. There was a minimum of growling and he spent the night inside. He went out when we left for Greenwood and was still here when we got back. He and the others are outside now. No sounds of disagreement so far. We're going to let him decide where he wants to live full time. NO vet appointments until he does!

	LP has been in and out. Spirit just brought him in and she has a long, deepish, bleeding scratch on her left calf. She says LP did it. If so, he obviously objected to something she was doing. She's washed the scratch and is applying antibiotic ointment. Reading all those first aid/medical books is paying off.

	Afternoon. Busy morning but everything that needed to get done before Skywise left got done. Now, I need to take some painkiller because I have a lot to do downstairs which will require several trips up and down the stairs and THAT will be painful, regardless but, at least, I can take the edge off.....

	Afternoon. We got a late start. Lord Purrington spent the night and he refused to let us out of bed. He laid on the "purr/sleep magick" on us and it was after 10 am before he let us up. He seems to really like Skywise. So we went to Greenwood, ate, shopped at the hobby stores, got rained on and then came home. We are currently between rain showers. Now to get caught up.

	Lord Purrington has been sacked out on our bed with Skywise purring like a buzzsaw and showing him his tummy -- the sign of absolute trust from a kitty. I think he's picked "his" human although he'll accept petting from any of us.

	Afternoon. Didn't get much sleep last night. Had trouble falling asleep. THEN at 6 am Lord Purrington started yowling at the top of his lungs, woke us up and wouldn't stop until Skywise let him out. He even nipped Skywise when he didn't let him out fast enough. Skywise went back to sleep pretty quickly but I lay awake for another hour before I got back to sleep. THEN at 9 am it was time to get up. Yes, the only reason I'm on my feet is because of iced tea and the length of my TO DO list with significant items that must be done before 8 this evening.
