	I'm going to have a lot of reading material to get me through the long winter months. And since "winter" is being predicted as coming early, hanging on into spring and being cold and "wet", I'm going to need it.

	Dinner is done and I've been reading about the care and feeding of Dutch ovens in general and camp ovens in particular on Amazon in a book I'm getting tomorrow. Some things I already knew thanks to Mom having cast iron cookware but the particulars of outdoor, over a campfire cooking are new. I probably won't get much "outdoor" practice before winter sets in but once good weather sets in Moonie and I intend to see what we can do.....

	Afternoon. Slept in. Sorta sad today. October 13, 2017 was the War Queen's next to last day and the last full day that she was completely aware. The next day, the 14th, she slipped into a coma just before Skywise left for work while he was carrying her around the yard -- one last time. We all miss her. She was one of a kind as was her sister Queen, the Hearth Queen although in a different way. We're still waiting for her to send us a black kitten, preferably two.

	Heard from both the doctor's office and the pharmacy and the problem with my metformin prescription is straightened out and I can -- and WILL -- pick up my pills tomorrow. One less thing to worry about! Still have to see the doctor in December but maybe I can get some shots in my knees then. Three months -- more or less -- pain-free would be heaven.

	Pizza dough is rising. Been washing dishes. Lord Purrington has been in and out today. Currently in and dozing in our bedroom window. We've had several bands of rain move through. Nothing particularly significant.

	Van is sitting on a jack with the tire off. Tire is at the Walmart Auto shop getting repaired... or replaced. We don't know yet. Waiting for them to call and tell us what needs to be done. sigh Saturday's schedule has already be rearranged. Post #45,300

	Phone still hasn't rung and I'm not expecting it to this late. I guess we'll just have to go over to Walmart tomorrow and rattle some cages. Maybe with a metaphorical bat. One nice thing that happened today is that UPS made a delivery and the driver thanked us for putting in the "parking lot". It makes his life easier and I suspect that word will spread since we had a really BAD situation with our driveway the last couple of years.

	Evening. Long day. Tire on the car did NOT go flat. It was low just enough to trigger the sensor. We picked up the tire for the van, came home, put it on and headed out for our usual "Saturday Stuff" including a stop at DQ 'cause -- damnit! -- it's been a rough week! Been busy since we got back which is why I'm just now posting.
