	#1612 Penthesilea �Just wander around, visit other towns and see what you hear. Someone may know who is behind the army that Darklord Kodiak is fighting. If that information is out there, I want it. Some weeks ago, we had a reality breach in the hills and we had a very large warband of orcs to deal with. I was poisoned and nearly killed. Just a couple of weeks ago, a giant people eating mantis escaped from under the Castle, which it shouldn't have been able to do, and nearly reached the Smallkin village before I caught up with it and killed it. When I led my knights into the catacombs, we found evidence of another reality breach which had let in a number of warriors of a species known only as "Bugs". We managed to get the drop on them and wipe them out. Fortunately, they had no queen with them.... Anyway, I have a lot of enemies out there and I'd like to know which one has suddenly gotten so powerful.�

Her resources were more limited than she liked. She would have rather sent her girls but they were too well known in the area and the danger of them being somehow recognized, even with magickal disguises, was too great. It was Jasmine or no one and she wasn�t willing to send Michael out alone.

It is a considerable distance from the Castle on one of the major trade routes from the interior of the continent to the Western Sea. Jasmine checks it over quickly to satisfy herself that everything is as it should be while Michael and Penthesilea confer once last time. Then they climb up on the wagon and head out.

They had passed a few travelers on the road but no Wanderers which was good since Jasmine was still briefing Michael on his part. They found a good place to camp and sundown found them cooking their meal over an open fire. Not long after that, they retired to the wagon to entertain themselves. Neither of them were aware of the predator that watched them.
