	#1525 [Rewritten by Penthesilea] Penthesilea prevails on her new Lord Marshall to remain at the Castle long enough for her and the Healers to be sure that the spell has healed him completely and to have a good meal. Then, Penthesilea Gates him back to the front and the army. Jasmine gives him a worshipful look and a little wave just as he turns to walk through it. Then he�s gone and Penth closes the Gate.

They had just gotten themselves out of one war zone and another seemed to be springing up on their doorstep. MoonCat and Spirit were grown women and more than able to defend themselves. Bladey's son, Grasshopper, was not, for all that they made jokes about his fondness for the sword. That he was warrior material was obvious but it would be a dozen years or more before he was ready to march into battle! �Try not to worry, Bladey. I�ve ordered all the nursery workers as well as Grasshopper�s nanny to be armed. Even the mildest Elf maiden is death in gossamer when the young are threatened and never, EVER threaten a child when a Smallkin woman is around!� Bladeraven smiled but she still had a touch of worry in her eyes for all that the what Penthesilea had said was true. The nursery workers would die and, more importantly, kill to protect their charges. The Castle�s nursery area was well protected and, of course, any foe trying to reach the children would have to get through the Castle�s defenders first! Still, Bladey was a mother and it was a mother�s lot to worry.

	#1546 [Rewritten by Penthesilea] Jasmine came up to the little group and it was obviously furious. �I went to the new settlements between Crowhaven and the Mile Wall to get help in defending the Castle and they refused to come! How dare they?� MoonCat and Spirit regarded Jasmine with well concealed distaste. They knew their mother�s habit of taking in strays usually worked out well but they were having their doubts about this one. With a nod to their mother and Bladey, they went off to the job Moonie had set herself during FirstMeal and Spirit was going along to help. It would be *fun.*
