Green Amethyst (Prasiolite)varies from a pale yellow green to the deeper shades of green .It is sometimes mistaken for other gemstones (e.g. Peridot and Tourmaline). usually it's mined in Brazil and Arizona . is also known as Vermarine, Green Quartz, Lime Citrine or by its gemological name, Prasiolite. Although reasonably affordable, it is unusual and remains a collector’s gemstone. the name comes from the Greek words “Prason” meaning leek (due to its colour similarities with the vegetable) and “Lithos” meaning stone. it is reported that it facilitates the gap between the physical and spiritual aspects of life,
but it is not a substitute for a grounding stone. It's found that it strengthensthe heart chakra on higer planes, and that is how it bridges the upper / lowergap, but as many other newer stones, it does not work ona physical/astral level strongly.do not give this one to over come the selenite.Well, the higher energy stones like this one energize your higher energy bodies. where adventurine will stimulate the heart at a astral level, prasolite works on the crown/heart at a keteric level. see, chakras are pairs. the root/heart/crown all are part of the main conduit of energy that flows through the body- the root is the physical level, the crown the keteric, and the heart bridges a connection between the two.
someone who is rooted in the physical, Prasolite will give them a kick, help them reach their higher planes. take someone who is blocked in the root, well, their crown is more open.stones like prasolite and celestite these types of stones though connected to their respective centers also stimulate the crown center. and they exasperate the crown imbalance.
the problem is that some people  like the feelings they get from those stones. they get high off of being spiritual. and it creates a bubblehead effect, making it even more difficult to ground. And in a bubblehead effect the danger of high energy stones is that the person doesnt realize that it is happening. they just think they are becoming more spiritual, more powerful, etc. .this will lead to an addiction to it. they think you are negative and materialistic if you try to correct them.

the lessons  in this situation is

IF YOUR FEET ARE NOT ON THE GROUND YOU CAN NOT BRING SPIRITUAL TEACHINGS TO THIS PLANE.

Also this stone is good at attracting prosperity through strengthening the mind, emotions and will. One thing to keep in mind about Prasiolite is that most of it has been heat treated. If you can find stuff directly from Bolivia there is a better chance it is natural. But most all of it is heat treated.
If anyone is interested in the difference between citrine and prasiolite... prasiolite requires a much higher temperature for the change... when one first heats amethyst it turns yellowish at about 350 C. It then clears up as temperature increases and then as it gets even higher it starts fading to green. The curious thing about this whole method is that whereas all heated amethyst will turn to citrine at the right temperature not all amethyst will turn green at the right temperature.

but it is not a substitute for a grounding stone. i find that it strengthensthe heart chakra onhiger planes, and that is how it bridges the upper / lowergap, but as many other newer stones, it does not work ona physical/astral level strongly. gave this one to my ex to help her over come the selenite.BAD idea.
