some described the way it looks as a liquid wood.Pietersite is a form of Falcon's Eye which has undergone geological folding but otherwise is composed of the same elements. a form of Crocidolite which is itself a fiberous variety of Riebeckite with the fibers being asbestos. This for me explains a lot of the commonalites I found between the differant stones like Tiger's Eye, Tiger Iron, Hawk's Eye and Falcon's Eye.
so also look up those stones for additional info on this stone. sometimes a pietersite with a large amount of blue in it will be called eagles eye. which is incoorect.

Eagles eye is another stone that was mined from China. the mine got flooded so it isn't available.
