	The eye dilation has pretty much worn off but I'm still wearing sunglasses while sitting in front of the computer. I should be good by tomorrow. Anyway, it has been a long day and I'm heading out. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Morning!! I'm in for a little bit, then Hubby and I are going to run a few errands... I'm currently checking local websites to see what the price of a stick of RAM costs, Hubby promised to get me one for Mother's Day and I haven't gotten it yet. Yeah, I'd rather have something for the computer over flowers or other stuff!! Checking my SP Pets and other places before I head out also.

	External hard drives... ME WANT!! THAT would save everything nicely for the next time I have to rebuild this darn thing... It wouldn't take so many CDs or memory sticks... Hmm.... A floppy drive would be nice too, that way I could just transfer Professional Write from the little computer to the big one without a lot of fuss AND print off RH on the big computer... But would the connections for the drive fit the connections in my computer? My computer has ODD connections, else I would have my second DVD burner installed on it and the 10 GB hard drive I have in storage set up just for Windows. If it's set up through a USB port, I could do it... I'll have to talk to my main computer techs at ICC and see what they say. They know my system and know about the weird connectors inside of it!! Decisions, decisions!!!

	Afternoon! We've been to town and back (payday, ya know!) and we stopped at the auto shop. The car "should" be ready by this afternoon. We're going to go get it and leave the van so it can have the same "going over" that the car has had. Hopefully, it won't take as long! The dilation has completely worn off and the eyes are working. The good news from yesterday is that I don't have glaucoma, I'm not developing cataracts and both of my retinas are in good shape. That is the extent of the good news. The bad news is that my eyesight is still deteriorating, particularly my left eye, and I will need to go into trifocals. This isn't a big deal since the prescription I have before the one I'm wearing now was for trifocals. What IS the big deal is that Wal-Mart (where I went back in '07 and again yesterday) can't fill the prescription and we're going to have to find a private optical lab to do the work. We have NO idea how much this will cost -- we already know that our health insurance won't cover it -- WHEN we find someone to do the work. So yeah, I'm bummed about the whole thing this morning.

	We're back too!! Penth, that sucks about how you have to find a special lab to make your glasses... Here's hoping you find a place soon that does it at a reasonable price!! Glasses are VERY expensive up here... It costs me over $300 for ONE pair, or two if the place has a buy one get one free sale on... I normally get one pair of regular glasses and then one pair of prescription sunglasses. Add on the $60 for the eye appointment and we're out about $400... Thank the stars there is NO sales tax on glasses, else we'd be out a LOT more money!! We got a lot done today, I swear we walked all over town!! First we went to one of the office supply stores and I found a 2 GB stick of RAM ON SALE!!! Last year we paid $80 with taxes for a 2 GB stick, this year we paid only $40!! YEAH!! We stopped into my old workplace, the second hand clothing store... I found a pair of snow pants for our son and I got two new pairs of jeans, including one pair of "Skinny" jeans that fit me PERFECTLY!! I also picked up some file folders, some new pencils and other stuff I needed for editing my stories, etc. at one of our dollar to five dollar stores. So all in all, we had a VERY productive day and I'm glad I went up with Hubby!!

	We went into town at 1:30 'cause they told us the car would be ready by then. We got there and they had found the cause of one last niggling problem and had gotten the part to fix it, so we waited and at around 3, we finally got the car back after racking up a charge on the plastic of $660. Then we left them the van so that they can give it the same going over that the car got. After the last couple of days, we figured that we deserved a treat so we stopped at the Dairy Queen for ice cream. On the way home, Skywise remembered something about a company that "launched" about 20 years ago. I checked it out and YES! they will make my glasses as long as I walk in with a valid prescription! And the best part is that there are two of them within our usual "range," one south of us and one north about equal distance from here. So the problem of "who" and "where" is solved. They also have special offers, one of which we definitely qualify for so the hit to the bank account shouldn't be TOO severe. So next week "should" see me with new glasses.

	I'm still considering getting a floppy drive for the big/main computer... It's only $24, which isn't bad. I may put it off until next month, because my baby check is basically gone because I'm going to be using most of it toward my son's birthday and birthday parties. Gotta see what I have left out of it first!!

	Our old copier was a Canon PC6-RE which had a flat top. Consquently, when the War Queen wanted to get our attention, she would jump up on top of it and sit or lay on it. The instructions that came with it stated firmly that you shouldn't put anything heavier than 10 pounds on it. The Queen is a 12 pounder.....

	I'd say that was a good way for her to get your attention!! I'm not sure what the pound limit is for the top of our printer but I'm sure it's less than 15 pounds, and that's what Ambers weighs. Noelle and Angel wouldn't hurt it, they weigh less than 6 pounds. When Amber sits down, she looks as wide as a Mack truck...

	I'm heading out. I'm finally wound down from Smallville. It is rare that a show's final episode lives up to expectations. Tonight's did. I'm a happy and grateful fangirl. Thanks for 10 great years, Smallville... On another note, I've found another company that will honor my prescription and make my glasses. So price comparisons are now possible... But not tonight! 	Morning!! I didn't get to work on my stories last night, Hubby was watching Kitchen Nightmares and I kinda got caught up in that... SHEEPISH GRIN The little guy is currently playing on the NES and I'm not sure what Hubby's doing today. I do know that PBS has some good stuff on later this afternoon, so I'll be heading out to watch that in a couple of hours. The cats have been extra lovey this morning... Not sure if it's the fact that it's warm outside or they're just in a lovey mood. I'm just glad I'm NOT getting dive bombed for a change!! Time to catch up on things in here and other spots and check my SP Pets.
