	Gotcha... Mine's always on, except when it's charging or my son is home from school for a holiday, etc... I do that just in case the school needs me and I'm online or shopping, or if I'm offline at home, I'm needed in my various forums. At least the mystery is solved now and you know where it is. I generally keep mine in the pocket of my leather jacket (when I'm out of the house) or on top of the Pentium, which my monitor sits upon. Hubby REFUSES to touch it, even to answer it so it's always with me.

	The latest kitty insanity news: Angel is now howling at the outside door and trying to get up on the window ledge on said door... One problem: There is no windowsill on the door, and she will jump up and slide down, which creates a noise like fingernails going down a chalkboard... I love that cat dearly but she's not exactly "all there"... I'm trying to get her doing that on camera but each time I move, she stops... Furry widdle bugger!!

	The sleep will be good for you. A mother NEVER gets enough sleep! I've been sorting out the "ethnic" descriptions of the human race in my novels. I never realized how hard it was to describe someone's ethnic origins WITHOUT using the usual "shorthand" such as Asian, African, Native American/First Nations or Pacific Islander. I swear! Describing the Catkin is easier!

	Got that right about the sleep!! I've always found it hard to describe a person's "roots" without getting into the shorthand too. In one of my stories, one of the main characters is at least part First Nations so I describe the person as having the high cheekbones, slightly darker skin (in some cases, not all FN people have darker skin), black eyes and black hair and in males, an almost hairless chest (in some nations, that IS the case). Or that's how I do it anyway...

	So far, most of the characters are Caucasian but several are what would be on Earth, Native American/First Nations, Asian and Pacific Islander. There will will be characters that would fit the description of Africans but they haven't been created yet.

	What about tossing in that the person wears something like an earring, tattoo, jewelery, etc related to their heritage?? For example, a First Nations person may wear porcupine needle earrings (female) or have a beaded headband made out of deer hide. Many of the Polynesian groups have tribal tats, as do some of hte African tribes.

	The only problem with that is that even if these people originally came from Earth -- and they didn't -- they've been on my world for nearly 12 thousand years of more or less recorded history and only the Gods know how long they were there before that. There aren't even legends about where they originally came from and only vague legends about what the world was like before everything went to hell.

	Yeah, I will. It might just take a while though. Right now all I have to do is keep the descriptions straight so that when I say that someone is a Southern Islander, I don't later say that they have blue eyes....

	That's why I keep the character descriptions either open in another window or on a printed file right in front of me... Another file printed off... I may have to refill the printer if I keep this up!!

	Morning!! It's another rainy day here, but this time, we have a lot of wind and strong gusts... I'm really going to have to watch things just in case I feel like the power is going to go out. I'm puttering around on the stories, just re-reading and editing mostly for now... Nothing new is coming to me so the editing is at least classed as working on them. I've also made backup copies on a memory stick... After all that went down with my computer a couple of months ago, one can never be TOO sure that everything will be okay just saved on the computer's hard drive... Backups, backups, backups!! is my thinking. Now to check on my SP Pets and catch up on things online!!

	Afternoon! We took off this morning before I had a chance to post! It's cool here but beautiful -- clear, dry and breezy -- so I'm not gonna complain about the "cool" as it is easier for me to handle than the heat and humidity that we had last week!
