The main thing to remember is that with most live cd's, when you mount a hard drive from the computer, when it asks you for the root password for permission, a live cd root account usually has "root" for the password. Once it's mounted you can read it. I wish I could show you. Things sound so complicated when I say them but when I show people they're like "Wow, that's so easy!" I actually installed Ubuntu 11 on my laptop today using "Wubi" from windows. It was so easy I was impressed. Now the new lappy is dual boot and if I want to uninstall the Linux, it's uninstalled from Windows and it's a clean uninstall. I wasn't thrilled with the "unity" desktop but converted back to classic so it's all good.. can you tell I'm overtired?? I am babbling! I hope that's a bit more helpful.. and I just wanted everybuddy to know I missed you guys today:) ((hugs))

	Mounting the hard drive? No one ever told me about that. I've always been told to just stick the CD in, Linux will come up and you can access your files. I guess more research is needed. From what I've seen I like the feel of Linux (Ubuntu, anyway, as that's what I was given) but haven't had a spare, working computer to try it out on.

	Morning! Things got noisy around here at about 1:30 am. sigh About 45 minutes after the Severe Thunderstorm Warning was OVER! Skywise goes back to work today. POOH! But at least he'll have another vacation in September. Right now, I need to finish my short shopping list!

	Morning! It is currently quiet, peaceful, cloudy and HUMID! The "weather" is down along the Ohio River and I frankly wish it would stay there but the forecasters say that it has different ideas, unfortunately. Or did yesterday. So I'm off to check the forecast and see what they are saying now.

	Hi everyone! I'm in for a couple of hours, unless we get the predicted thundershowers our Weather network is calling for. I'm still feeling rather icky from that cold. I did have a nap this morning so I'm hoping that helps me a little bit. Now to check my SP Pets and other spots...
