Oh my heavens.. The Fairview hotel in Bridgewater burned down!! I used to eat in their restaurant and that's where we had the graduation for my business course!!

The Fairview was Nova Scotia's oldest historic Inn... Can't believe it's gone.

Had a not very minor meltdown tonight.  Crashed hard after the high of the last few weeks.  He's at a bonfire at a friend's house now, waiting to see if he actually comes back, or if I scared him off.

We had a pretty good storm, heavy rain and some thunder but no sirens or any of that nonsense. Got knocked offline for a while but other than that, no problems.

Working last night in 91 degree heat with high humidity & being sick as a dog. Amazed I still have my lungs as I was trying my best last night to cough them up.

Morning!
We have incoming weather which is just coming over the Illinois/Indiana border as I type accompanied by a Severe Thunderstorm Watch.
As I said, at least the race was LAST weekend!
When he got in last night, Skywise told me we had a respectably sized piece of tree down in the Guest House yard. If I'm gonna check it out, I'd better get out there!

I've actually managed to get some sun already this summer, which is a minor miracle, considering I'm a purebred Hermit.  Having a 20-year-old boyfriend has kinda thrown me out of my shell, which is pretty much what through me into a breakdown yesterday.  Equilibrium was thrown pretty badly off, and had to have a bit of a storm to equalize things.  All good now.  And he still wants to introduce me to his mother, so it's not all bad LOL

Of course, I've actually met his mother, several times.  And she thinks I'm weird.  But this was before he and I were dating, because she's also my roommate's mother.  Not entirely looking forward to her finding out that I'm dating her son.

Meeting the mother is always hard unless you've had the benefit of growing up along side her son and she knows your parents, grandparents and family tree back six generations....

Skywise and I have been together for nearly 40 years (married for 32 years come September) and that woman STILL hates my guts....

I'm ebil all right! I am PERSONALLY responsible for every misfortune that has befallen that family (including my oldest sister in law's husband falling out of a tree and breaking his back and Skywise's stepfather's dementia) since the early 70's and "may" be the cause of the decline of Western Civilization generally!

Hi everyone!!

It's a nice day here today... Sunny but not too hot or cold, just right temp wise.

Hubby's up having a nap, the little guy is on the NES and I'm going to do some work in here for a couple of hours.... AFTER I visit my SP Pets and get caught up in here!!!
