	So jealous boyfriend gets to meet ex-husband on Saturday... oh, this is going to be fun... especially since I'm seeing ex-husband's wife for the first time since early 2008... maybe "fun" isn't quite the right word.

	Personally, I think you probably should consider a "cage" or something to keep the combatants from flying out of the ring.

	So my open door policy with the kids got put to the test today. To most of the teenagers, I'm just an older version of them. They'll come talk to me about anything and everything. But they also know I have one rule about that. I will keep everything they tell me absolutely confidential, UNLESS they are hurting themselves or someone else. Today, one of the girls that live with us and her ex-boyfriend were caught in a compromising position in the basement. She got grounded, he got banned from coming over for awhile. And then she started cutting. She then told me, and showed me, and begged me not to tell. I had to. She knows my rule. My roommates have temporary custody of her, because her mother is a drunk, and so they are responsible for her. It's something they had to know. This wasn't just a case of, "Oh, I had sex." Everyone, including my roommates know that if the teenagers come to me and say they had sex, they're going to get the safety talk and the, "Are you sure you're ready?" talk, but I won't tell the other adults, because I know that kids are going to have sex. Even my roommates have agreed to my policy, because it means the kids know they can trust me not to go blabbing about everything about them, and they have a safe person to talk to. But she was cutting herself. She has slices all the way up her arm. She's pissed. They're putting her on a 48 hour psych hold. She hates me right now. And I don't care how much she hates me. I love her too much to let her do something that harmful to herself. If she hurts inside so much she feels the need to cause herself physical harm, she needs help. Period. And all the other kids agreed with me. It was something I had to tell, and they still fully trust me, because they know I'm here to protect them.

	You don't need me to tell you that you did the right thing but you did. Someone who is hurting THAT bad needs more help than you can give her. She may hate you now but down the road, she may -- if she's smart -- realize that you probably saved her life.

	The little guy's leg is a LOT better... He's zooming through the house without any complaints or a limp. He'll be going to school in the morning I guess.

Nope, not with those two... BIL is my kid brother and T's like a twin brother to me (I'm two days older than he is) but man, they are WEIRD... I'm an oddball and they make me look NORMAL... Which is rather scary!! I'd say what we used to do just driving around the county when I first started dating Hubby, but I don't want any teens who may be lurking getting any bad ideas... Normally he doesn't mind seeing the doctor but he hates it when the doc starts poking sore areas like his leg, poor child.

	That is perfectly understandable! I don't like to be poked in the sore spots either! I've been adding info to my FB profile. I'm a tad annoyed that a couple of the books I want to add don't have FB pages but I think I'm getting a nice selection up there. I might shock a few people but, as they say, "if not now, when?" I'm not getting any younger! Yet.....

	The closest thing I've done to "recreational pharmaceuticals" is taking 5 codeine-ASA tablets at once... Seriously, yelling some kind of gibberish out the car window at a bunch of senior citizens by Crescent Beach is ULTRA MILD for those two... The rest of it is NOT fit for the main boards...
