We've been living with his aunt for about a month now, and those two definitely have some personality clashes. They're both very dominant personalities, and most definitely butt heads.
Yesterday, they got into an argument, and it was NOT pretty at all. They both ended up yelling at each other, then he went upstairs. I think he would have cooled off faster if she hadn't turned on me. She wasn't really yelling at me, more too me, but suddenly, J comes running down the stairs, stands between us, and yells right back at her, "Don't you ever raise your voice to my wife again."
I'm sitting there trying to diffuse the situation, but I have to admit, it gave me little chills to hear him say that
And they made up this morning, so all is good LOL
Ever since we started dating, he's always been very, very protective/defensive of me. It's not the first time he's gone off on someone for something he saw them doing that upset me. There have, in fact, been more than a few times he's gone off on someone. It's quite the change for me; my ex was happy to sit back and watch people walk all over me.
But it was just amazing to me how natural it was for him to say, "My wife." It was just automatic for him
