Skywise has me pricing washers and dryers online so we can make an intelligent decision about repairs.
It's depressing. I do NOT need a washer with a built in water heater. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW WATER HEATER THIS SUMMER... Nor do I need one in designer colors OR one that looks like it would be at home on the Starship Enterprise... *snark* A plain white machine that washes our clothes efficiently is all I want.

I don't know why he wants to know the prices for dryers since ours is working fine. He probably figures that if we replace the washer and not the dryer, the dryer will go out in the middle of a blizzard when I have a ton of wet clothes to dry. As it is, I've got to empty the washer again...

Interesting...... I've found a site that sells manufacturer's parts for a lot of appliances, including our washer and I "think" I've found what we need. Unfortunately, the site eats megabytes like candy so Skywise will have to investigate it late at night. I also found a YouTube about -- I think -- someone fixing a similar problem. We may just get out of this without major financial damage. Need to talk to the Hubby....

Finally got Skywise on the phone. He is intrigued so we're gonna take a few days to investigate and think about it. It isn't like it would be if the refrigerator was out and all our food was spoiling and what wasn't spoiling was packed in ice in the coolers! So we can take a bit of time deciding what to do.

I've got a seven year old screaming in my ear for the computer...

I'm going to head out now... I have a few things I want to do anyway and since Son didn't get any computer time the last couple of nights, I'm going to let him play games for a bit.

I'm tired anyway... I've been on since 5:30 this morning and the caffeine is finally wearing off. I just hope I'll make it for CSI tonight, it's a new episode.....

Penth, As I said I still have my old Inglis top-loader downstairs.  It may be compatible with what you have.  If it turns out the part isn't too heavy I could mail it out to you.  I'll go look up my model # and specs n things, if you want to message me what you guys think it needs and the video I'll see  what I can do Smiley

Editted to add, I thoughtI said I had my old Inglis here for parts, aparently I forgot to hit send to make that post earlier today before I fell asleep ** sheepish grin **

From what I can tell from a quick search, I think that Inglis is manufactured by Whirlpool.  Cheesy  Late tommorrow or friday sounds good to me anyway as the bloke is on his last night shift.  Thursday day is a write off cause he'll sleep for most of it.  He's a light sleeper so I can't make much noise when he's coming off nights. We've ke[pt the machine stored in the stairwell so the parts would be clean.  Anyways, I'm gonna try to get some sleep.   Catch you tommorrow ((hugs))

I'll be around most of the morning at least... Hubby has a car appointment this afternoon so he'll be doing that and running errands. I hope to get some work done on one of the stories while he's gone, in between things in here. Cheesy

It's cold right now, just above freezing, but temps are supposed to hit the low 50s today... YES!! I'll be able to turn off the heat and open the windows again, which will please Miss Fat Cat immensely. I had them open for a bit yesterday and she was going NUTS because of the fresh air!! *giggles*

Anyway, I'm going to get things ready for Son to go to school and keep an eye on things in here... I am around and keeping watch even if I'm not saying anything!!

Time to pack Son's bookbag and finish packing his lunch. Tongue

WP had grabbed the seat of the chair in the back, hauled herself up, climbed up onto the back of the seat, walked onto my shoulder and then down the front of my chest. I put my forearm up to support her and she settled in and started purring. Moonie said that was an acceptable reason for not getting up and making my own tea! LOL

It's not quite 6:30 my time and Son will be getting on the bus in about 45 minutes...

It's a busy day for Hubby and I, we have some things to do this afternoon so I'm only around for the morning. I may be on later this evening but there's a good chance I may not be back until tomorrow morning. We'll just have to see how it goes. Cheesy
