Ugh, I hope y'all feel better soon!

Son is clogged up, Hubby is clogged up, I've been sneezing too, but not as bad as the guys have been. I'm hoping Hubby doesn't lose his voice too, he works in customer service and having worked in that field myself, I know how hard it is to wait on people when one has laryngitis!! Sad

I think the only ones who are not affected here are the kitties... But they've been acting goofier than they normally do because of the warm weather, sunshine and OPEN WINDOWS...... Roll Eyes

There is a VERY happy kitty here... Noelle is currently laying on the window sill of the smaller window in the living room, which faces south... The sun is shining right on her and she's loving it so much, she is snoozing with all four paws in the air and her tummy exposed.

We need a good, long, regional rainy period to scrub the crud out of the air. There is a chance that we'll get some rain on Monday. I hope we do 'cause things are starting to dry out.

We got a lot of our "April showers" in May... There were times that the rain was coming down so hard, it was bouncing off of the car and the roof. I was out at the bus stop one afternoon and out of nowhere, it started to POUR like crazy... I had just enough time to zip into the house, put on my sneakers and grab the umbrella and get back to the bus stop in time for the bus!!

We need more rain too, but probably not as bad as y'all do.

The humidity is VERY low - 48% when I last checked -- so there is no realistic hope of a popup shower. *sigh* If we don't get some relief by the end of the month, I'll be speaking to the Weather Gods.

I've been downstairs putting the parts of the wardrobe that are down here back out of the way and clearing as much floor space as possible so I can start working on the makeup table. The first order of business is to get the tabletop level, once and for all!

Moonie and I made an executive decision. We've closed up the house and turned on the A/C!

I've dug out my beltbag and backpack for tomorrow's expedition. For a "normal" trip to the track which would involve a trip to the museum and maybe a tour around the track, I'd just carry the bottomless pit that I call a purse but for "Bump Day" I need to travel lighter with "storage capacity" if needed. Supplies for the day: MONEY! Sunscreen, hats (especially for me since the sun is NOT my friend!), tissues, my sunglasses in addition to my regular glasses and my mostly empty backpack that will have a good supply of tissues in it (we've all been ambushed by allergies this week), hand wipes and earplugs. I'll probably stash some bottled water in a cooler in the back of the van because at day's end, when we hike back to the vehicle to head for home, we WILL need to hydrate!

Morning!

Son woke Hubby and I up very early and since I couldn't get back to sleep I thought I may as well get up and get going on the day.

It's another sunny one out there... Temps are supposed to hit around 70F/19-20C today too. Anyone who is in my area better slap on the sunscreen, sunglasses, sunhats and the fly dope because it'll be easy to get a sunburn and it's the peak of the black fly season, they are out in FULL FORCE and may carry someone away... Shocked

Today is my nephew's 15th birthday... Feels like only yesterday that my daddy and I were waiting for my mom to call home from the hospital, telling us Sissy had her baby and that I went to the hospital right after I was done school for the day to meet him! LOL (I was taking my business course when Nephew was born) HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEPHEW!! Tongue

On that note, I'll be here most of the daytime. Hubby works again tonight so that means I'll be in charge of taking Son to bed, etc. again. Hubby also works the shorter day shift tomorrow (9-3) so we're not doing a darn thing this long weekend. Maybe we'll do something when things settle down at his workplace... I'm hoping that will be SOON.

Time to get caught up and get another cup of coffee..... Tongue

Two of my "Stapp Sistahs" (Fellow Creed Fans) are in Virginia, and one of them is only 5 miles from the coast. She says it's NOT nice out there right now, TS Alberto is right off the coast at the moment!

It's the last day of the long weekend here and Hubby is working 9-3. He has the next couple of days off as the schedule stands now but that can change in a split second.

It's a warm day out there already and temps are supposed to be over 70, with lots of sunshine again. We're paying up for the sunshine later this week with rain. Joy.
