Time to start a new one!

Yeah, it ain't glamorous but it needs to be done.

I am going to zip up to the Guest House quickly and paint. The "weather" we've been expecting is on the Illinois/Indiana border and the rest of the day and evening will probably be noisy.

The line is finally past us. The rain was heavy enough to knock us offline but aside from a little thunder, that is all we got, a moderately heavy downpour. So now I'll get caught up while I make dinner.

Morning! It's another sunny day out there but it's COLD!! Temps hit freezing last night and I'm getting ticked... This feels more like October weather instead of May weather!! BRRR!!!

My mother in law comes home today!! She is a little weak on the side she had the hip replaced but otherwise is doing great and in good spirits. Cheesy I'll probably hear from BIL when things are settled down over there, either via phone or FB at some point.

Son has school but I'm not sure what Hubby has planned for the day... So I could be around on and off through the daytime. I'll be here as much as I can be though!

Time to get things ready for school and get my husband out of bed.

*Snark!* I thought we were done with the weather foolishness for the day but no such luck. Most of it is moving north but there is a blob south of us and headed this way. There isn't anything behind it AT THE MOMENT but that could change. I'll be in as I can. At least I got up to the Guest House and got another coat of Color #2 on the spacers. I'm slowly getting the corner pieces and the spacers painted. I'm currently considering whether to prime and paint the fancy trim before or after I attach it to the "backing." Before would be easier, I think. A nearly six foot long section of trim can be a bit cumbersome to handle as I've found out.....

This next storm is almost here although it looks like the worst of it will pass west of us. I'm gonna get offline until it passes. If nothing else, it looks strong enough to interfere with the satellite signal.

My BILs' band is playing at a memorial concert Saturday evening... IF Hubby is working dayshift or not at all, I think I may go... Can't miss an opportunity to watch my brothers in law rocking the crowd!! Cheesy

Talking with the older of my two BILs via FB and found out they are playing my three favorite songs by their band at the benefit Saturday!!

"Sea of Tears", "Higher Planes" and the one I have quoted in my siggy, "Whom Gods Destroy".... I SOOOOOOOOOOOO hope Hubby has Saturday evening off, cause they'll be playing between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Atlantic time............... *FINGERS CROSSED!!*

I wanna go VERY BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!
All watches, warnings, alerts and general running around hysterically screaming about the weather have ended! Smiley Every time I thought the storms were over here came another one! Now everything has moved out and east and there isn't anything building to the west so HOPEFULLY peaceful and uninterrupted sleep will be on the schedule for tonight.

Another school morning here......

Looks like I'm going to the concert... I'll probably go early because there's a band playing right before them that plays my kind of music... METAL!!!  Smiley

And the final schedule shows the guys are on later than originally thought but that's okay... I'll LIVE!! LOL

I shared it on my FB wall so if anyone on my friends list wants to see the event, scheduling, etc, go for it. Cheesy

Morning!

Iz happy!
The rain has stopped and the sun is out.
The lunatic bird has been outsmarted and we are now able to sleep past dawn in the morning.
And the modular drawer units for my makeup table will be delivered this afternoon!
Barring pouring rain or some other problem, we'll pick up the wood for the makeup table on Saturday!
Now I need to get some tea and get on the projects I couldn't tackle yesterday because of the rain!
