Stand by with the fire extinguishers!

After a somewhat disappointing weekend "building wise" I'm going to work on getting my mind off of "what isn't working" and regroup. I'm not at the point yet where I can take off full throttle toward my goals but I'm getting close and there are a few things I can do to prepare for that. I'm hoping we can get to Greenwood before the weekend so I can get that masonite. Getting the wardrobe -- which is face down in the middle of my practice area -- finished and set up would be very nice. Of course before we can do that, we have to figure out the best way to level the dratted thing!

Things have settled down enough for me to do a little bit of rewriting on the one scene in Chapter 12... One I've been trying to do since for the last hour or so! The guys finally calmed down from roughhousing and are in the living room so I snuck in and doo'ed it.

All I'm saying is that particular area of NR has stuff in it that isn't fit for the eyes of nosy little rabbits....  Smiley

I figured out the easiest way to find out how thick the shim on the wardrobe needs to be without risking life or limb. We will need to attach a 48 inch strip of 1/4 inch "something" across the front and extend it back 10 inches from the front for maximum support of the load -- which will be considerable! I may just get some extra masonite for that part of the project.

Smiley I found some photos of a belly dancer in a "warrior queen" outfit. The style does not become her (I haven't figured out exactly what the problem is but I will) but it has given me some fiendish ideas for a bra/belt set.

Let's see how nervous I can make insecure younger women.....

I love this shoe. With a lower heel, it would be perfect. Fortunately, I can order it with a lower heel...  Smiley I am consumed with "shoe lust" which is a new thing for me. I am accustomed to getting whatever I can find in my size, pretty or not. A pretty shoe that is available in my size is a new experience and will take some getting used to...

That said, it is time to head out.

Penth, those shoes are VERY pretty! Cheesy I guess I'm lucky because I take only a size 8-9, I'm average foot size wise... *ducks!*

The knees are working better this morning. I hope it holds as I have a lot to do today.  Since pretty much all work on the wardrobe is on hold -- except for a couple of little things I can do -- I'm going get a few other things done or at least started. Guess I had better get started on waking up....

Skywise should be at work by now and I've figured out what to do about the table skirt and I've been working on that. He and I decided to head into Greenwood tomorrow for lunch and to pick up the masonite I need so tomorrow afternoon will likely see me getting that project moving again! With luck, I'll get the back on tomorrow and Skywise and I will get the wardrobe in place and leveled on Thursday.

Hubby and I will be leaving here around 9 or so, it's "Baby check" day here in Canada and I need a few things that I won't be able to get on Thursday or Friday, Hubby works both days and we're still down to one car.

Dinner is cooking, Skywise should be on his way home and I'm sewing decorative trim onto the makeup table skirt. The hanging problem is solved so all that remains is finishing the skirt. I should get it finished tomorrow if I don't run into any more problems with the wardrobe. I still have the problem of the mirror mounting tape "remains" that are in the wrong place. When I can, I'm going to gt in there and carefully scrape off what I can. If enough remains to bother me, I'll have to think of something to mount over it to hide it.
