Morning!

We're back too. I have my masonite so I "should" have the wardrobe up and the makeup table finished by the weekend. I'll start painting the wardrobe doors on Friday maybe, Saturday definitely. Once they are good and dry, I'll start painting the design on them. I don't know how long that will take but at least it is only ONE color so I won't go through the "different color every day" thing that I did with the mirror.
Time to get tea and get caught up.

I'm back upstairs for a moment. I'd have been here sooner but the Warrior Princess had to "inspect" and then lay down on the masonite so moving it around during the "figure out how to do this" process was slowed considerably! I've figured out how to do it so that all the places where the backing pieces come together are "backed" by wood. Unfortunately to make this work, I'm going to need to glue a piece of square dowel at the back of the top shelf to give me something to nail to so I'll do that next and start "installation" tomorrow. I'm using 3 24 inch by 48 inch sheets of masonite which, since the wardrobe isn't perfectly square, lap over the edges a bit and, of course, the overlap isn't even. So rather than try to cut it to fit exactly -- and thereby lose what sanity I have left -- I'm going to leave it as is and if the overlap -- which is brown -- bugs me too much, I'll paint it with gray primer so it will more or less match the gray concrete wall.

The pieces are cut, fitted, glued and clamped. I'll let it dry overnight, add a few screws in the morning and I'll be good to go.
And WP wants cuddles... NOW!! LOL

I'm back from my nap. I feel a little more awake now but my sinuses are pretty clogged. I definitely have Hubby's cold.

I am now soaked to the skin. I just gave Munchkin a quick cool down shower. It doesn't mix well with the fact that the humidex is up in the 30s (Canadian) and everything is soaked as it is........ Roll Eyes

"I" certainly won't tell!!

The makeup table skirt is on! It's a little shorter than I'd planned but I'm gonna call that project "done!" I can fine tune things later as I have the opportunity to "field test" things. The next thing to finish is the wardrobe. Once the doors are on it, I can get back to dancing, weight training and sewing projects. I'm also gonna be on the lookout for a "to die for" jewelry storage box/chest that I can put in the wardrobe. I went through my pieces and while I don't have a lot of rings (I only wear three) I am accumulating earrings and I really need more to go with my costumes. Ditto chokers, bracelets and hair ornaments that won't go flying into the stratosphere while I'm dancing! The jewelry box might be something else that I'll have to make. I don't know yet. I'll have to see what is out there and figure out exactly what I need.

I woke up early and couldn't go back to sleep. When I did sleep, I dreamed about drilling holes in masonite and I'm hoping my morning tea will cure my headache. It's shaping up to be a long day.

I'm going to change clothes -- still dressed for bed -- and start working on the wardrobe. Maybe I can get it done today so I can stop working on it in my dreams!

There are better things to be doing during Dreamtime and I would REALLY like to be doing them!

Well, we've figured out why it's so humid here... TS Chris is pushing humidity up our way, it's passing NS sometime today or tomorrow and will be passing Newfoundland not long after that.

Hubby keeps saying he's dreading later in the season if we hit "V"... Roll Eyes NOT THE MAMA............. *CLANG!*

Skywise is getting ready to leave so I'm back upstairs for a bit. I've got the top panel in place and fastened down -- firmly! -- at the corners. My next task will be to get the two bottom sections positioned so that there aren't any gaps or at least none that aren't "backed" by some part of the wardrobe. The back won't be the neatest fitting job ever but you won't be able to tell from looking at it from the inside!

Skywise just informed me as he was going down the walk that the "boards up at the Guest House" are starting to sag.

He meant the doors to the wardrobe. All together now..... Smiley Smiley

I'll go up later, when it is a bit easier to walk than it is right now, check out the problem and see what I can do. I can at least move the saw horses closer together to give more support to the middle.
