	Morning. I'll be here on and off, I'm trying to conserve MB due to something rather STUPID that insisted on downloading over 200MB of updates when we tried installing it last night. Long story and I'm fit to start shooting some software developers... It's one VERY cold morning, temps are around 0F/-18C (cold for southeastern Canada) and I'm sitting here shivering despite three heaters cranked to the max and bundled up in sweaters. We are going to FREEZE at the bus stop.. BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

	I may sneak outside to snap some pictures when things warm up more outside... It's still cold, around -11 C at the moment. I also uploaded a pic to our weather network so we'll see if it's shown on the Weather Network (Canadian). It'll be cool if it is shown.

	I am really considering getting some bread flour, etc and using the bread maker... I've had it for a few years now and haven't used it once! I'd like to try to make some healthy, homemade breads, etc. We need bread flour and yeast to start though........ What I'll be doing is mixing it and kneading it in the maker then baking it in the regular oven so we get a good crust on it.

	The temp has come up CONSIDERABLY in the last couple of hours... It's now about freezing outside, which is a heat wave compared to what it was around 7 a.m.!!! I was outside walking around the backyard wearing only two polar fleece sweaters and I was nice and warm so this is a definite improvement over freezing at the bus stop despite being bundled up so much I could barely walk! LOL

	Afternoon. We're back. We had some banking to do and we also picked up a couple of things at Walmart and had lunch. Skywise and Moonie have the cats outside right now because it is gonna warm up and lot over the next few days and ...... RAIN! Thunderstorms, even. Although that is only a possibility but the way the weather has been weird this winter it wouldn't surprise me! Post # 48,300 for the site

	I'm back. I still feel blah but I'm here for a little bit. We're getting drizzle right now and it's nice in here compared to what it was like this morning. Temps are above freezing and the snow is really melting. I'm glad I got some snowy pics for those who like that kind of thing because it's not quite so pretty out there now.

	Makes me glad I live in a somewhat hilly area... Only the lower areas flood around here and our house is somewhat higher than the rest of the neighborhood..........

	We're on some of the highest real estate in the county but low lying areas are going to have to stay alert. Right now, they're saying the rain won't start until Thursday and we could get between 1 and 2 inches. I'll be out tomorrow morning making sure that the drain from the window well is clear and I may suggest to Skywise that he check the gutters!

	Even an inch can cause a flood so yeah, I can see why the lower lying areas are on alert. I think it was the spring of 2005 that we had a LOT of rain come down in less than 24 hours (I'm talking about 4 inches or MORE) and since our mall is right on the river, it flooded... What a freaking mess!

	Back in '08 we had 8 inches of rain in 24 hours on ground that was already saturated. THAT was a mess that took months to clean up.

	Yeah, we made the national news and had Coast Guard helicopters flying all over the place which was really weird considering how far inland we are. Post # 27,372

	I do remember seeing something about that on TV. It was on the Canadian news too, stuff like that normally does.

	We'd had a week of heavy rain and then a front stalled right over the area with thunderstorms tracking along it from west to east all night and into the morning. It probably did make the news in Canada since several highways and Interstate 65 to Louisville, KY were closed due to the flooding. And people wonder why I try to never run completely out of anything.....

	Yeah, and I think there may have been some flooding up here too, in southern parts of the midwestern provinces, IF I remember correctly. If we keep getting cold snaps like this last one, and it lasts for a few weeks, we may have ice buildups in the town river... The last time that happened was a few years back and if the town hadn't hired an small ice wrecker (not sure of the correct technical term for it, it was a low boat that broke up the ice), the old town bridge probably would have been toast again, and possibly the "new" bridge (built in the 80s but has a different name, we just call it the "New Bridge"). It's going to be an interesting winter here if it's cold like that a lot, that's for sure. SIGH
