Holy smokes, we burned through the last couple of What's Happening threads! Shocked

Yeah, she does... The thing is, some people are wanting to read fluffiness these days, NOT stuff that has substance to it like Homecoming or the Hobbit. *SIGH* She's hoping to read NR when it's out but if she's reading a certain trilogy of fluff, I doubt she'd actually get all the twists and turns in the Keyholder's Castle series or NR....

Makes me sick to see some people who claim to love to read prefer stuff that is fluff tied together with spit over something with substance.... *SIGH*

Yeah, the trend these days seems to be tending toward poorly written fluff designed to dumb down the readers. Maybe I should have written "50 Shades of Twilight..."

That's what I'm thinking I should have done but oh well. Neither of the series interest me and I've only read TWO books in the last few months anyway... Homecoming (reread) and a book I purchased at my old workplace recently, it was another very in depth and "deep" novel with a few twists and turns in it. Believe it or not it was sort of a romance book written by a man. Very interesting and it was very good!

They don't interest me either. I prefer my vampires to be adults and my romantic leads to be psychologically healthy. Vampire romantic leads need to be both!

Agreed! And having leading ladies who are ALWAYS twits through the entire series annoys the dickens out of me... Or the ones that act like they can't live without a man... GAG ME.

Yeah, the leading lady in NR starts off a little young, naive and fragile emotionally but as the story progresses, at least she gets a clue, grows up and PROVES she's a lot stronger, smarter and sophisticated than she originally seems, and she PROVES she CAN live without the leading man in her life.......

Yep. Although I'd like to know how she got that way. I know one can be "born shy" but I suspect that there is more to her story than was revealed in NR. (Hint! Hint! For a sequel!)

Part of it comes out in NR as you saw. Tongue Yeah, more of it will probably come out in the sequel, cause that does involve a journey to the past so to speak...

Iz stuffed. Dinner was late but at least the "freezing rain/wintery mix missed this area completely, the roads are wet with "probably" some slick spots since it's below freezing and it rained like heck for I don't know how many hours but there's no ice on the trees and power lines and the power stayed on. All in all, a good day.

I am here. Smiley Skywise told me about an hour ago that he has the really late -- as in getting to bed at 4 am -- late shift for two weeks starting tonight. Oh happy day! So expect me to be getting in late in the mornings starting tomorrow. By the time I get sorta used to it, he'll be going back to the earlier shift. I have tea, thank goodness.....

UGH, those late nights always knock a person for a loop when they're not used to it!

Our house currently smells of roasted garlic. I just roasted a full head of it to go with supper... It smells so heavenly....
