I saw those. She is cute.

I'm working on something for my sewing center -- a storage box, the first of many -- for my patterns. I'm making them out of plastic canvas covered with non-woven, non-fusible interfacing (the heaviest/craft weight) and fabric. I've used the same method to make tote bags and purses so it should work for this since the contents won't be especially heavy. I'm anticipating needing between four and six of them. Yes, I have a lot of patterns!

She's spoiled rotten too... We can't resist her demands for snuggles! LOL

My eyes are crossing between editing, being online and writing again.  Smiley I'm glad it'll be an easy supper, I'm making frozen pizza with extras on it. Yeah, the oven element is replaced. The old one created a "supernova" in the oven the last time I used it and kinda burned so hotly it made the element snap in two... Shocked

DANG I AM GOOD!!!

I was washing dishes and thinking about different things for the manuscript (FP, aka Book 2)....

How to get a character to find out a lot of stuff about something has been bugging me for a long time, pretty much since I wrote Chapter Five. Some of it comes out then but most of it doesn't. I wasn't sure how to get it to come out and while I was at the sink, mindlessly washing and rinsing some plates, it hit me! YES!!!  Smiley Smiley Smiley

Thanks. It just happened to go while I was standing right by the stove... I thought the stove light was left on then realized how bright it was.... Shocked I let out a yelp and alerted Hubby... AFTER I turned the darn oven off that is! LOL

Yeah I know it. That was pure dumb LUCK that I happened to be right there when it went BOOM....  Smiley

It's over 70F/21C here... I'm thinking it's soon time to dig out the desk fan because now that the warmer weather is here, that means HUMIDITY is on the way... BARF!

I've just gotten the dehumidifier set up and running downstairs. Now that the furnace is off, the humidity is starting to build up in the basement. *sigh*

Joy oh bliss... The AC isn't in the bedroom window yet, but that will be happening within the next week or so. When it starts to warm up here, it goes from cool (under 50F) to hot and humid (over 70F) within a week or two.... Roll Eyes

I think it's soon time to dig out the flip flops for zipping around the house too, socks and sneakers are starting to get a little too warm on the feet!

I know it. We only have AC in the bedroom (upstairs, no attic) and even that pushes the power bill sky high sometimes. I do NOT want to know how much having it around the entire house would drive up the bill.... Shocked

I said heck with it and dug out ye olde flip flops. Bye bye sneakers and socks for the day! Cheesy I'm going to get some blisters between the toes but OH WELL!!!

Considering how hot it gets in this house in the summer, whole house AC is pretty much a necessity is we want to avoid heat stroke. And it DOES run up the bill so I'm hoping the new AC we got last October will be more efficient AND that it won't be so hot this summer.

Understandable. Our house gets hot too and the humidity up this way is crazy, especially if a hurricane is pushing the hotter and wetter air this way, but this house never had central air in it, and it would cost a fortune for us to install it... Or even have a separate window AC in each room. We can't afford it, as much as I would love to have it here! At least we have it in the bedroom. Better than nothing and all that.

It's still warm here, but no humidity. I wish it would stay about 70F/20C with NO humidity all summer long, this is my kind of weather! Cheesy

Oh yeah, hurricane season starts in about 3 1/2 weeks. We probably won't get much up this far north until about the end of July into September but still... *pretends to hang herself*

Tornado season will be starting soon. Technically there can be a tornado any time conditions are right which is anytime from early spring to late fall. I remember one year when we had a tornado outbreak the week of Spirit's birthday (Nov. 23rd.)

Tornadoes scare me, even more than hurricanes do... And there can be tornado activity in the middle of a hurricane.  Smiley I THINK..............

We only got nailed by the remnants of one last year so I'm half expecting this year to be a little more "Active".... Roll Eyes  Smiley

Yeah, hurricanes can spawn tornadoes but I don't think that it happens often.

I didn't get as much done today that I would have liked but then again, I was in places I no longer want to venture...

Plus I took a scene from a "dead" manuscript and reworked it for FP, which took over an hour to do. It's been added in already.

Smiley Sorry you had to go there, hon. Hopefully, you won't have to go back except for tweaking and proofing.

My little bitty lilac bush is starting to bloom.

Skywise got the grass cut.

We've started taking about his retirement which will happen sooner or later, probably "sooner" as in five years or less. And among other things, what we want to get done around here before then and generally how things will change with him home all the time. Big change -- dinner between 6 and 8 instead of at midnight.....

Smiley Thanks but I'm not done "there" yet, I had to stop and go work on something else because the brain and the overall mood wasn't liking it. Going "there" is a necessary evil if I want to get this story written perfectly. I'm doing my best to break things up between "there" and the main manuscript so I don't get too burned out or cranky! LOL

I want to get up to the good stuff--the bedplay--very soon so I'm doing my best to get on the move toward that too! Tongue

I think the next scene will be a tearjerker but not a sad one, just a sweet one. Wink

Yeah, breaking up the "tough stuff" is a good idea. A good bit of Book 2 was extremely painful to write. I may have gotten into it too much although it made for powerful writing. Book 4 has the potential to be just as bad so I'm going to have to be careful when I get into that part of the story.
