Morning.
We're back from town. The van still isn't ready so I just got what we were out of and would need before Monday today. That kinda confused Spirit but once she "got" that Father won't be going to work for three weeks after today, she was cool. I'm going to get caught up now. First thing, check the weather!

Yeah, it's a huge PITA. I may try to stay up late to see if I can get more added to the sweet scene I was working on when the bus alarm went off. It all depends on how I'm feeling and if the juices are flowing just right. Roll Eyes

If y'all see a blue cloud hanging over my end of Canada tomorrow morning, y'all will know my Leafs were knocked out of the playoffs by Boston. I have a VERY bad feeling... *SIGH*

Gee whiz, someone in a plane just flew VERY low over the house... We're not that far from the municipal airport but geez, that was WAY too low in my mind! It shook the entire house!!!  Smiley

That happens to us. One of our neighbors just south of us has his own plane and he has small airstrip. Fortunately, he usually takes off heading away from us but when he's coming around to hand he flies right over the house and pretty low. There's also a housing development a few miles west of here where EVERYONE has a plane and airstrip. Luckily, the cost of aviation fuel is such that they don't fly as much as they used to!

Oh dear lord, if there was a housing development like that back here, I'd probably shoot somebody!

Well, despite not having a good day writing wise, I did get a couple of things crossed off of the ideas list. I'm calling that the silver lining for the crappy writing day I had.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. If I stay up late and work tonight (after the guys crash) I'd like to get at least another page added today. I have another writing day coming up on Monday or Tuesday but I'd like to get more added before then if I can do it. Hubby works both nights this weekend so it's work on it more tonight or not at all until next week.

The only thing I know for sure about our schedule is that we're seeing Iron Man 3 on Sunday and, hopefully, getting the van back on Monday. The engine mounts are "supposed" to be in today and apparently everything else is fixed so Monday is looking good.

It would be great if you could get it back on Monday. We're still waiting for our income tax return to come in so I can schedule an appointment for my eyes. They were so bad when I went to write this morning that I had to turn the monitor's brightness waaaaaaaaaay down, put Word on blue background-white font and put on the sunglasses for a couple of hours. They're getting worse, very quickly, and the sooner I can order stronger glasses the better. This is beyond nuts! Sad

I'm going to have to put getting new glasses off for a while longer. Between the propane bills, close to $1,600, and the van repairs which will be that much or more, we won't be able to afford glasses for me for a while. Guess it's good that the first three books are done. I can start doing the preliminary writing on Book 4 in longhand.

*SIGH* Great, just freaking great Penth. I know what it's like when the eyesight goes nuts and being unable to get new glasses when they're needed. Hubby said my eyesight is a priority because it's been five years since the last eye checkup for me and if I want to be able to write at all, I have to see properly. I could do things in long hand but with the CTS, I can only write a few words before the nerves start going bonkers on me and I get the tingling, numbness and shooting pains. Odd how typing doesn't affect it so quickly though. It must be the way I hold my hand when I use a pen or pencil. *SIGH*

I'm left-handed but I don't write like most lefties. There were 70 kids in my first grade class and the teacher didn't have time to force me and the other lefties in the class to either write right handed or make us twist our hands around to write like most lefthanders. My mom taught me to write and all she wanted was for it to be legible (which it is) and comfortable for me to write. I tend to develop a callous on my left middle finger when I write for long periods but other than that, I don't have any problems. Writing in longhand won't be as fast as typing but at the "pre-first draft" stage, "fast" usually isn't a requirement.

You're lucky your mom taught you to write like that Penth. Most lefties I know twist their hand around to print or write.

I'm right handed but for some reason I could never get the proper positioning of the pen or pencil correctly in my hand even after years of practice and my hand writing was the pits even before the CTS came in over 14 years ago. It's worse now.

Yeah, the "pre first draft" stage doesn't need to be fast thank the gods.

And the @#$%^&* sunglasses had to be put back on... *SIGH*

Smiley I ended up being mostly ambidextrous. About the only things I routinely do left handed is use a fork or write. Everything else I usually do right handed.

Smiley You ARE lucky. Most of the things I do, I do with my right hand, except for drive. I have to have my left hand on the wheel at all times else things do NOT work right! LOL

The little guy asked me if I could show him some astronomy pictures in FB and I found a couple of astronomy pages that look good and he likes so I added them to my likes over there. I think we're due to visit Hubble's site soon, we haven't been there in a couple of weeks. Son loves to look at the pictures of galaxies and other cool stuff over there. Cheesy

Yeah it is... I think they'll be starting to learn about it in school either next year or the year after. I can't remember if it's Grade 3 or 4 that they start teaching the kids about the solar system, etc up here. I know he's looked at astronomy sites while at school because his one TA said so.
