Morning.

It's another iced coffee kind of day... Although it's not nearly as warm as it was yesterday this time, it's still warm out there. Cat is happy with the open windows and sunshine too.

I'm going to be doing more housework today and hopefully Son will cooperate again. I find he picks up things better when I have music going so I'm thanking my lucky stars for MEDIA PLAYER.

I'll be here between things... Time to get caught up and get more coffee. Cheesy

Our bedroom AC was on until about 3:30 this morning... It was THAT hot upstairs. I've been straightening up the kitchen and trying to get Son to finish picking up the toy bombs in the living room... THAT part is NOT going so well... Time to give him the ultimatum of losing computer time and any treats, I guess. *SIGH*

At least with the cooler weather, you can put on enough clothes to get warm. You can't take off enough clothes to get cool when it's hot. I know. I've tried.

Exactly, that's why I love fans and AC. Cheesy Having a breeze coming in a window helps too.

Son is still arguing with me... He does NOT want to clean up HIS mess even with the thought of losing computer time, TV and treats hanging over his head. We have a rule in this house... You make the mess, YOU clean it up and don't expect everyone else to pitch in, especially if it's a disaster....

I see a couple of new pairs of sneakers, some new pants and a new lunchbox for the new school year already, and Son isn't even finished Grade 2 yet... I'll find out if we're purchasing his stuff for regular classroom activities (pencils, etc) or the teacher buys them and we repay them either at the transition meeting on Tuesday or via a notice before the end of the year.

There is a large flock of noisy crows in the trees south of the house. The only time they shut up is when a hawk flew over and announced itself. It's gone now so they've started up again.

The homemade roasted garlic butter I put together yesterday is now portioned out in the freezer and fridge. I'll be making some parmesan-garlic bread with supper tonight, as a treat. We all love it and only have it once in a long time. It's fattening and kinda stinky if you think about it.... LOL

That's why Hubby helps me this time of year... In the wintertime, all of the snakes are under the dryer porch, hibernating, so I don't see them. They're VERY visible this time of year so I do NOT go out there AT ALL!!!  Smiley

We have repaired that stupid dryer porch countless times but the darn thing is made out of aspenite/press board and it rots very quickly, and I swear the snakes dig holes through the floor to get in. We're going to have to rebuild the darn thing but can't afford it right now, and when we do rebuild it, I want it redone in something a LOT better than what it's currently made of!
