Morning. Happy Halloween and Blessed Samhain to all who celebrate it.

It's trick or treating for us later this evening and I'm going to be hauling Son all over the neighborhood and then down to my mother in law's house for a bit. Son is very excited and he's bouncing off the walls. There will be some fun activities for the students at the school this afternoon and between that and his excitement about trick or treating, I'm having a VERY hard time keeping him relaxed! Roll Eyes

Things are going to be nuts here in a bit. I'm still doing housework and after Son gets home from school, it'll be really crazy. I'm letting him have his computer time this afternoon so he gets it, just in case we're late coming home from trick or treating. We'll be doing the usual run around the neighborhood then off to my mother in law's after that.

I'm gonna meet the new furball down there, finally. She's a gray fluffball and I guess she's very friendly. I can't wait to get kitty smoochies from her! Cheesy

Lardbucket here is gonna be TICKED when we get home. She gets snarky if she even SMELLS another cat on any of us... She's pretty jealous and tends to be more territorial about her people and yard than other furbabies. Roll Eyes

I'm getting close to finishing up the housework, I just have to pile some boxes a little better and finish wiping down the stove and countertops. I'm making hot dogs for supper, VERY easy clean up.... And we are eating EARLY so we can get ready to go around six or so.

I still wanna dress up in a suit, trench coat and converse sneakers with spiky hair, but I don't have the right looking suit or converse sneakers... No one around here would get it anyway. *SIGH*

Son got off the bus and started bouncing off the trees, the neighbor's houses and the car when he saw me. He loves Halloween and loves to go trick or treating.

He is now bouncing off the walls again... There were activities at the junior high end of the school this afternoon and he came home with a tonne of candy... Then he'll be getting more tonight, including a big bunch from his grandmother.

That kid is going to be hyper for a year.

So far the severe weather hasn't materialized but the night is young and the wind is blowing at just below "howling" stage. I think that the cold front must be getting close.

ETA: Spoke too soon. We're under a Tornado Watch until 2 am.... *sigh* IT'S TOO LATE IN THE SEASON FOR THIS NONSENSE!!!

We just had some heavy rain go through that knocked me offline. The lights have flickered but stayed on. Nothing severe yet, just intermittent heavy rain and wind. Lots of wind....

Just about everyone in the area postponed trick or treat until tomorrow and/or Saturday because of this storm. From the looks of the radar it looks like it "might" be weakening a bit. Hope so anyway.
