The only way things would be put off here would be if we had a tropical storm or hurricane hitting the province. Other than that, it goes on even in a blizzard up here.

I'm still doing some minor edits on Book 2 and taking notes on the BIG changes that need to be done after it perks for a while.

It is sooooooooooooooooooo tempting to do a big download tonight as a reward for finishing Book 2's first draft yesterday, but I'm not going to. I'll save it for another day.

That's understandable. Over here, tornadoes are a rare thing so we tend to be less cautious unless there's a tropical cyclone overhead or about to hit.

Speaking of which, we had only the remnants of ONE hit the province so far, and this is the second year in a row for it. That scares me because it could mean we get quite a few clobbering the province NEXT season. *SIGH*

We don't normally have to worry about tornadoes this late in the season but it isn't unheard of so the "better safe" mindset kicks in.

Understandable. A few years back, we had a tropical storm hit the area at the start of November, and less than a week later, we had a huge snowstorm.

Canadian weather is so odd, especially out here on the east coast! LOL

That's what happens here. Cold air out of the northwest (usually) runs headlong into warm, wet air from the south/southeast (usually) over the Midwest and it's time to rock and roll!

Afternoon. I'm here.
Skywise didn't get home until 2:30 am last night. The Post Office was chaotic, late trucks and machine breakdowns were the least of it. Next Friday's paycheck is gonna be nice but damn, he's earned it! I'm gonna get caught up. I'll say now that there is definitely a nap in my future. There were NOT enough hours between when I went to bed and when I had to get up!

That's fine. I'm here but quiet. I'm "thinking" and finishing up the toaster cover. I've just about decided how to kill off this one character. I've used fire a bit too often -- it's efficient but I'm getting predictable -- so I need to come up with a unique and gruesome way to kill someone off....

Suffocation, drowning, asphyxiation, bleeding out... Thanks to CSI, I could give you a few ideas... How do you think I knew how to kill off one character in Book 2 in a horrible way that the forensics gang could easily figure out what went wrong??? Wink

I'm slowly reading along in Book 2 at the moment. If I see something like a missing word, I add it, but if it's a bigger change, I'm making notes. My brain can't comprehend anything ultra huge at the moment and I want to think about how to rewrite things, etc and how to 86 stuff without it looking like stuff WAS 86'ed in spots. All of the big stuff will happen after it perks for a while.

The chicken is cut up for supper, and is now marinating in olive oil, a couple of sliced garlic cloves and a teeny bit of dark soy sauce.

The rain and wind are picking up. We've lost the satellite for a few seconds on and off... If I go POOF, y'all know WHY.
