Greetings!
Spring cleaning continues and we're expecting Spirit's new mattress/box spring set to be delivered between 1 and 2 this afternoon. We've already got a trash can full of stuff that we're pitching, much to the cats' consternation. They're staying well out of the way which is good. The way my legs feel this morning the last thing I need is for the cats to be underfoot.

I've been prone most of the afternoon, took a nap while I was at it, and my legs feel better. I definitely overdid it yesterday with the picking up and hauling away. I still have a ton of that to do but not so much upstairs. Tomorrow I'll work on the kitchen -- the recyclables are getting out of control -- and that will be easier than the living room/dining room was.

I've been commenting at length on the Agents of SHIELD facebook page. It annoys me when people who "don't like the show" feel the need to comment on the page. If they don't like the show, no one is holding a gun to their head making them watch! I can only conclude that they can't stand for anyone to enjoy something that they don't so they have to try to spoil it for them any way that they can.

My legs are feeling a little better but they still hurt like hell, especially when I need to get out of this chair. Skywise had the option of going in early today so he did. He'll be home at a more reasonable hour tonight so I'll be starting dinner in a few minutes.

I am so furious I could put someone in the hospital -- which while an attractive idea isn't a good idea.
This is what I posted on facebook.

I have a headache -- big surprise -- and preliminary testing indicates that I can't read a book with either pair of glasses. I'll be heading out for a rest as soon as I make one more post.....

I'm back. Still have a mild headache but my eyes aren't watering at the moment but I don't expect that to last. I've found that I can read some things but not others. I haven't done any intense -- as in hours on end -- work on the computer so I don't know how that will go.
I am SO sick of this I could scream.....

That didn't take long. Left eye watering and the head is hurting. Browsed on Amazon and looked for vans before looking at facebook -- and found out that SR 39 in Martinsville is blocked by a broken down train.  Skywise has a plan and I hope it works.....

My eyes are very tired.
"I" am very tired.
I've been looking for optical labs online and found three (two with offices in the Indianapolis area) who say, basically, that they've never met a prescription that they couldn't fill.
We may have to see about that....
Skywise isn't home but I'm heading out. My eyes/head have just about had it. I'm going to curl up with the Queen -- and probably SunLord and the Prince -- and rest my aching eyes/head until he gets home.

We're back from Greenwood and EyeGlass World and I'll write a full report once I've had tea and have collected my thoughts. I can say now that no throats were ripped out and things went better than expected.

Okay, on the eyeglass front we’re basically starting over. We went to Eyeglass World this morning and the first thing we found out was that they’d been calling the ophthalmologist’s office and leaving voicemails that weren’t being returned. That is why they didn’t call US about my problem.
Then we got down to it. Skywise suggested that they do an eye exam on me which they did for a reasonable additional charge which we were happy to pay. The optometrist decided that the best thing to do was to “tweak” my left eye prescription to make it a little stronger because there isn’t a lot that can be done while the cataract is there. He said it was noticeably browner than the one in my right eye. He also told me that I “wouldn’t be nearsighted anymore” once the cataracts are removed and the corrective lenses put in. I’ll probably still need glasses for reading and close work and I’ll believe that I’m completely “not nearsighted” once I have the procedure and see the results but I’m hopeful that once I get through this “pre-cataract removal” period getting glasses will be easier. Needless to say, I’m REALLY looking forward to the surgery!
Anyway, for the moment, I’m wearing my trifocals again since EyeglassWorld kept both sets of frames to put the new lenses in. They’ll send the order in on Monday and should get them back in 10 business days. Keep your fingers crossed!

I took a nap which I apparently needed and just generally relaxed. It's been a busy/eventful/trying week and I'll get back to business on Monday although I might still be in a fangirl daze after seeing Avengers 2: Age of Ultron tomorrow.

There was an earthquake today in Michigan that was felt in Central Indiana but we didn't feel it or at least I didn't. I hope that Mother Gaea releases her tension gently. We really don't need the New Madrid Fault letting loose right now. Or ever.....

Spirit just reminded me -- like I needed to be reminded -- that DK's birthday is the 5th, the Firstborn Dark Princess has her birthday on the 6th and her little sister has hers on the 29th.

Yes, Spirit has a phenomenal memory when it comes to birthdays and dates in general.....
