	I got a new knife today -- a Cutco Bird Beak Paring knife. Moonie loves it. She used it to chop all the vegetables for the soup.

	Evening. We had a large dinner at the local steakhouse -- which is very good by the way -- and we're all stuffed. The storm that was headed this way weakened a bit until it was past us then strengthened again. I've been looking at decorative wooden shapes to decorate a box I'm making and I've found some possibilities. Anyway, I'm going to head out while my brain still works. 	Took some painkiller at 3:00. It seems to be working. I just ordered a couple of more "up to date" books about the Atkins Diet and one on building an emergency pantry. It will be winter before you know it and getting snowed and/or iced in is a real possibility if you believe the almanacs -- and I do. I used Atkins back in the day and it worked but it was expensive. It will still be expensive but Skywise is at a higher pay grade now so it won't be as much of a hit. It probably wouldn't hurt for all of us to be on it. Moonie is the only one who isn't at least a little over weight. She inherited my mother's metabolism, lucky girl! So... dieting is in my future. I'll start cutting carbs tonight....

	Evening. Skywise hasn't called yet but I'm heading out. I've been working on a small woodworking project today and I had a lot of sawing to do and my arm/shoulder is tired and likely to be sore in the morning. But when you can't find what you want, ya gotta make it. I'm also slowly defrosting the freezer compartment of a 60 year old refrigerator up at the Guest House. Since I'll be able to be up there longer over the weekend, it should go faster. Anyway, it's time for me to call it a night. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Evening. I woke up this morning a mass of aches and pains as I expected. After Skywise left for work, I got a few things done, including working on the defrosting project and finishing the next step on my box project. Then I got prone, which my legs appreciated, and I now feel much better. Now I'll get caught up before I start the next thing.

	Afternoon. Difficult day so far. Spirit is having an extremely bad autism day. Smirks from smarta-xx-s didn't help. I really really wanted to make a scene but I refrained and simply glared with as much anger behind it as I could project without giving myself a headache. We're home now and she's asleep. I'm hoping she will feel better when she wakes up.

	Dinner's over. Leftovers are put away. The day is winding down. Skywise is losing weight and he's very pleased. If he can hit the goal weight his doctor set for him, his blood pressure might come down enough that he doesn't have to take medication for it. He's stopped eating his way through the kitchen on weekends which has been a big help. Before long we're going to have to start replacing his wardrobe! Gonna head out now. We'll be hitting the ground running in the morning. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. Back from town. The 37/Grand Valley Blvd. exit will close on the 13th or as soon as Cramertown Loop is connected to Grand Valley. We'll never have to go through that construction zone again.

	The last couple of days have been really bad "leg days". Today it occurred to me that either my shoes or the inserts in them might need to be replaced. I immediately bought two pair of inexpensive sneakers (that I normally wear) at Walmart and transferred the inserts in my old shoes (which were fairly new) into the new ones. There has been a marked and immediate decrease in my pain. I guess I'll have to stock up on sneakers -- since "sneaker season" is almost over -- and inserts to prepare for winter.
