	The cake finally got done. It is not pretty. Hopefully frosting will improve it. I just spent some time checking. The oven went out on August 5th.... 7 damned months ago... I'm hoping we can get it repaired or restored soon. When the government's "funny money" arrives, we should have enough extra cash to have it done.

	Got serious work to do today. Taking painkillers now so I can do as much of what I need to do as I can. And hopefully be able to walk tomorrow!

	Didn't get as much done as I wanted but that how it always is with my knees like they are. Still I got a few things done and made a slight dent in a major project which will take days if not weeks. While downstairs, I discovered that the lid on one of the really big storage boxes down there has broken, meaning that it's no longer really suitable for what I was using it for. So, once I've dealt with what's in it, I'll use it to make a DIY "Earthbox style" planter. If things get as bad as some people think they will, we're going to need aquaponics, a greenhouse, raised beds and all the "earthboxes" we can get!

	Feel like vomiting. My own damned fault. What passes for "steamy, contemporary romance" these days is what they used to call "soft core porn" and it has entirely too many "triggers", explicitly detailed, even in "samples" for me to tolerate. Here's hoping I can get over this by the time dinner's ready. I really don't want to throw up my dinner....

	Afternoon. We're back from Skywise's dental appointment. He needed to have a broken tooth pulled. He's sleeping off the last of the anesthetic now and has taken some "industrial/prescription strength" ibuprofen so after a solid nap, he should be feeling better. Packages have started arriving. I should be getting a load of them on Monday. Now to find out what new outrage Biden has inflicted on the American people.....

	Dinner's over and I've quit transcribing for the night. My ears hurt from using the headphones. I have to turn the sound up to make out what he's saying in some places and it's hard on the eardrums. 	We went into town for a few supplies and a snack at Taco Bell. We haven't eaten there for a while since their dining room has been closed. It not up to full capacity yet but it is open. Even though we have things pretty well set up, eating in the van is getting really old...

	Dinner will be ready in about half an hour. After that, I'll work on the transcribing. Once I get through the section I'm currently working on, the work should go faster. The next section does not contain any "specialized" language or terms -- I had to look up how to spell “Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!” last night. And no, what I'm doing has nothing to do with the Necronomicon! Although we do have a couple of copies of it.... -- Anyway, I'm hoping to finish with transcribing this document this week. After which, I'll start on the next one. Yeah, my ears are going to get a workout.

	I got a lot done tonight. I used earbuds instead of headphones and my ears don't hurt so I assume that my headphones are too tight for prolonged use. Since I've gotten past the part of the document that was full of nonsense produced by Talk to Text, I expect the work to go much faster. The rest of the audio files I have to transcribe are much shorter so I'm expecting the work to go quicker once I'm done with this one. I'm going to head out now, make sure that nothing in the kitchen needs to be dealt with and call it a night. Everyone sleep well, be safe, stay calm and STAY HEALTHY!!!

	I've made enough room for the second pantry closet downstairs so tomorrow, barring something unforeseen, I'll be putting it together and getting it into place. THEN, I can start putting things that are stacked around up here, into storage down there. Skywise has already told me that I can use one of this "prescription strength" ibuprofen if I need it. I'm going to try to do without it but with these knees, who knows? Now to get busy in the kitchen....
