Easy Beef Stroganoff

1 1/2 pounds of stew beef cut up
1 envelope of onion soup mix
4 cans of cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup (do NOT add water)
1 cup of sour cream (up to a whole pint!)

Mix all together in crockpot & cook on low 6-7 hours or high 3-4 hours.  Serve over noodles or white rice.

NOTE:  It's not recommended to cook on high if your crockpot gets really hot; the sour cream can curdle (tastes fine, but doesn't look nice!).

They all sound divine!  I'm partial to beef stroganoff, but I find whenever cooking with cream or sour cream, I add at the end to finish it off.

For this recipe, I'd probaby add last 10 minutes or so...  Smiley

Agreed - I haven't tried this one yet, but the sour cream would curdle if you put it in at the start.  Thanks for catching that!  Grin
