	#706 Penthesilea/original post with a prologue (At Jasmine�s orders, her father�s pet sorceress had added a coercive love/binding potion to the drink served to the Darklord�s double. Then Jasmine had taken the drugged �man� into her bed and sealed the spell with sexual techniques taught to her by her succubus mother. After tonight, Kodiak would never think of Penthesilea again! They had both fallen into an exhausted slumber when Penthesilea, having the permission of Aphrodite to break the spell, does so.....) The magickal shock wave from the breaking of the spell breaks windows all over the valley. Startled from sleep, Jasmine immediately realizes what has happened and sees a way to discredit her rival both in the eyes of the Darklord and the Castle�s inhabitants as well. A quick check confirms that Kodiak isn�t in the house and Jasmine quickly heads outside. People are beginning to stir. She has to hurry. The house is glass, it won�t take much... Using the same magick that made the house in the first place, Jasmine *shatters* it. Smiling with smug satisfaction, she slips away so that she can be found later. She will play the injured innocent to the hilt while portraying Penthesilea as an insanely jealous, delusional bitch!

The presence of the suitors, especially their care and feeding, had put the staff behind in their pre-Yule preparation and now everyone was working fast. Penthesilea had had such hopes for her first Yule in her family's home, family, friends, peace. But that was not to be. Not this year. Her girls were in hiding and her Castle was all but besieged. She hoped that by the time the real siege started, they would be ready. Delicious smells were coming from the kitchen and the Keyholder followed her nose to the Dining Hall...

	#3942 Penthesilea *The day got underway without incident. Daemon and Satira were still not in evidence. Considering the state of the moon the night before, Penthesilea was not surprised! A page brought a note from Lord Kennicott pleading to be excused from the morning's activities. Penthesilea giggled and reflected that perhaps her problems would have been fewer if she had introduced her suitors to Jaganmatan stout the day they showed up! Penthesilea had her paperwork caught up, so she headed for the Military Complex construction site to see if she could be useful. There was no sign of the Lord Marshall. She supposed that he would seek her out when he showed up.....

	#3943 Penthesilea *The New Military Compound* As expected, Penthesilea found much to do at the construction site. She transformed her clothing to something suitable and began helping the painters who were working on the "ready to paint" first floor of the barracks building. It felt good to do some manual labor and she sang snatches of different songs as she worked. Her voice lifted the spirits of those around her and they rejoiced that, in spite of everything, their Lady could still sing....

	#3946 Penthesilea Penthesilea could have magicked the sweat and paint spots off of her but she decided to fill her sunken tub and take a soak. The negotiations could be put off for one more day but once Yule was past, they would have to begin and she would have to stall and pretend to be interested and put up with Kennicott's pawing and the vileness she saw behind his eyes for as long as she possibly could. Every single day was precious. Time was precious. She should have foreseen this situation and been prepared for it but she had thought to leave war behind her when she claimed her family home. A single tear slid from her eye as she mourned that hope lost.....

	#3948 Penthesilea Lord Kennicott was on his very best behavior -- probably because he was still a little green. He ate sparingly and retired early. Consequently, Penthesilea was able to enjoy the music and the company of her knights who watched her like eagles, determined to prevent a repeat of Lord Kennicott's assault. The evening broke up early. Tomorrow was Yule and everyone was waiting for that party. Penthesilea went to her magickal workroom and scryed Lord Stephan's new estate. She had been unaware that Jasmine's house was made of glass. She had thought that it was rock crystal and the destruction of the beautiful structure grieved her, even if the owner was* a deceitful, manipulative bitch! Penthesilea knew the type well enough to know that Jasmine would use the accident to discredit her but Penthesilea was having none of it. She cast a transport spell and headed to the scene....*

	#711 Penthesilea Penthesilea walked carefully among the shards of broken glass as she considered the best way to proceed. It hadn't been twenty four hours yet so she could use magick instead of technology. She concentrated, gathered her power and sang "If I could turn back time...." In the space occupied by Jasmine's house, time ran backwards. Back. Back. Penthesilea kept singing as she felt the shock wave approach. It came. And passed. And vanished. And Jasmine's house began to reassemble itself. Falling together in the same order that it had fallen apart. When the house was completely restored, Penthesilea stopped singing. She was a little tired. Working time was always exhausting and difficult. One more thing. Again, Penthesilea called her power and concentrated. Glass to diamond. Satisfied that she had repaired the damage that would have been used to discredit her and had also made an alteration to the structure that would derail any claim that Jasmine might make, Penthesilea cast her transport spell and departed, leaving a house made of diamond behind her.....

	#3949 Penthesilea Penthesilea returned to her bedchamber and sat down -- abruptly -- on her bed. She was exhausted from the expenditure of power. Time working -- especially over a large area -- was hard. Without bothering to remove her cloak or shoes, she stretched out on her bed and immediately fell asleep.... Back in her father's stronghold, Jasmine watched as Penthesilea spoiled her plans -- again! She would have howled in frustrated rage but there were too many ears about to hear so she put on her best �bewildered innocent� face and went out to wonder aloud why the �evil, jealous Penthesilea� had repaired her house and made it into diamond to boot....
