	Afternoon all. I would have been here sooner but Skywise had to disassemble the computer and that took a bit of time. It was making odd noises. It's all better now. Otherwise I wouldn't be here and we would probably be on our way to the far northeast side of Indianapolis (the location of the nearest Apple Store) to get a new Mac!! I really want the van running and up to specs for that expedition. Having enough room to haul large electronics home -- not to mention building supplies, kitchen sinks and whatnot -- was one of the reasons I wanted a van!

	Okay, the klutz has done it again. I was looking for something in my dresser drawer and I've managed to gash my little finger (left hand, underside, right across the knuckle joint) on a hard plastic package. Bleeding is underway but not heavy as yet. I'm going to go scrub it thoroughly, apply antibiotic and a bandage. I don't know how it is going to affect my typing. sigh And I didn't even find what I was looking for.....

It doesn't hurt and I'm typing fairly well. No more typos than usual! It was a "clean" slice, no jagged edges, so I'm expecting it to heal pretty quickly. And I still haven't found what I was looking for! And it can wait! Thinking about it, all things considered. Life is pretty damn good right now. Skywise isn't real happy about having to work overtime but that will give us extra cash for the propane bill and since we aren't making car payments right now, we will recoup what we will need to take out of our savings in about four months. By the time we go to get the new computer, we will have enough saved to pay cash for it. There is no more than the usual uproar in progress and everyone on the whole is happy. Life is good.

	I have the bandage off and while my finger is a bit stiff and sore, it looks okay. It isn't TOO hard to type. The hardest part of the word processing I'm doing is not making the scene I'm writing TOO explicit. It would NOT do to get banned from my own forum! I'll have to save it for the book....

	I'm not entirely pleased with the "flow" of the section I'm working on but I keep reminding myself that this a "1st draft/outline" and not intended to be a polished draft to submit to a publisher! I have one more post to write and then this section will be ready to go up. Come what may, I'm going to get this done tonight. I still have one more batch in this section (2700 to 2999) to do and then I can start on the next section which is, thanks be to all the Gods!, considerably shorter!

	There is a fire south of here and it must be bad. Two water tankers have gone by in the last 15 minutes and civilian vehicles with lights and sirens keep going by. Even with the rain we've had in the last week it is still dangerously dry out here.

	Well, Friday the 13th has about 70 some minutes to go in my part of the world and I must say, it was a pretty good day. Of course, I have two black cats so "bad luck" doesn't normally come to call. And this is the 11,300 post for the forum and I'm pretty happy about that too.

	Upon sober reflection, I am SO tired of jealous little high schoolers masquerading as adult women. I would do this -----> for a while but they aren't worth the effort. 	Castle update: Somewhere along the line -- SOON -- I have to write two, count 'en TWO, attempted seductions of the Darklord. Women would NOT leave the poor man alone..... Plus some "set up" for the monster hunt and some odds and ends of characterization and I will be done with the current section. Then after the next batch (2500 to 2699) is done, I'll get back to work on the monster hunt.....

	Poo! Heavy weather moving in. It should be here in a few hours -- 2 a.m. on through rush hour -- heavy rain, thunderstorms, chance of damage.... WONDERFUL NOT!!! Spirit has a dental appointment tomorrow and some sleep would be nice! For the record, heavy thunderstorms scare me. There were too many times when I was growing up when I didn't know if the house was going to be there when the storm was over. That sort of thing kinda kills one's enjoyment of nature's power. That is my main reason for wanting to have an earth sheltered house!
