	If I disappear from the face of the Earth, Deirachel has killed me. I just left him a list of 106 new smilies for the site. I may have gotten carried away but I sooooo love those little things. I grabbed more party smilies and character smilies and I did try to pick ones that will show up well against all of our backgrounds.

	I've been going over the next batch of Castle posts. [2500 to 2699] The chaos of posting was almost as chaotic as battle! It is going to need sorting, fer sure! I think some posts are going to be rearranged if I intend to keep as much as possible -- and I do! -- but right now it doesn't look like it will need a lot of rewriting. I get some cooperation from the Muses and my creative juices and I should have them in shape by next week. Then I'll either get back to the Wendigo hunt or do another batch of posts.

	I'm going offline for a while. Nike is going to call tonight and the phone line needs to be clear -- darn dial up! -- but I don't know exactly when she is going to call. Probably when she gets home from work. So, I'm going to spend the time going to the mat with the above mentioned unsavory females while I'm waiting. I'm hoping to get the next batch of Castle posts up this weekend and if things keep perking along like they are there shouldn't be a problem getting it done. Catch ya later!

	I'm back. All is good with Nike except for the usual work aggravations. I made good progress on the Castle posts while I was waiting and most of the easy part is done. I'll get the rest of the "easy" done tonight and attack the problem that is the battle over the weekend. I have to explain how a kraken got over a thousand miles inland....

	Upon sober reflection, on the whole, life is damned good. No troubles. No worries. No aggravations worth mentioning. [Although a seat motor for my van would be nice!! ] There is not a single cloud on the horizon and the Gods and karma seem quite happy with me. Puts feet up with a happy sigh..

	Karma is a beautiful thing. I have just learned that a hypocritical cow of my acquaintance who got the man she HAD to have has finally figured out that "Prince Charming" is a toad. tsk. tsk. All he really wanted her to be was a substitute "mommy" to support him, clean up after him and take his verbal abuse. I can think of few people more deserving. And, like as not, she will never realize that she brought it on herself. And I've solved my "kraken problem." HIGHLIGHT "kraken". HIT "Delete." Now what to use instead. Maybe a flying jellyfish..... [Goes off to ponder various monsters....]

	Not to mention "silly." I've been plowing through the current batch of Castle posts. I've got my monster -- I don't have a name for it yet but I've got it! -- and I'm going to have to do some serious rearranging of posts to get the story in some sort of logical sequence plus rewriting. 	Yawn Morning! We have the A/C off and the house open for a bit to let some fresh air into the place. I'm going to get some tea and a bite of breakfast and dive back into the Castle rewrite. I'm hoping to get the posts rearranged this morning and then I'll try to make sense of them! Fortunately, there are some blank posts scattered through it so I can add text.

	Well, High school is off to an interesting start. The kiddo has joined JROTC, and surprisingly, is liking it even though it's difficult. They still have not issued books or lockers, so no homework as yet. I'm hoping for an academically and behaviorally good year. She likes her teachers so far, and she isn't too intimidated by the idea of working hard, so she has a good shot at doing well. As other parents of ADD kids can confirm, first impressions in school mean a lot as far as long-term success goes. We shall see what happens, and deal with whatever comes. But I'm still grinning!!
