everyone and their cat has heard of working with candles..   but how many of you have ever worked with bonfires?  surely youve all heard the stories about witches dancing around fires and chanting spells, its quite similar to candles but with a hell of a lot more energy and umph.

LOL Pretty much, BA. Pretty much. As far as I know, I'm the only one who lives seriously out in the woods. I think that WooleyBob and NiftyWitch have some serious yard and Deirachel and Black Rose have some real estate too but they speak of neighbors fairly close so I really can't say.
Personally, I think that candle magick came about as a compromise when magick had to move indoors and wood burning fireplaces were replaced with various sorts of central heating. I'm working on a firepit in the backyard as time and money permit and we have one of those cast iron looking portable firebowls in the meantime.

Bonfires are wonderful! We have too many trees right now to do a decent one, but soon, I hope.
