	*Gotcha.* Penth answered and then gave her full attention to the discussion between the promoters, the team owners and the representatives of the city which was threatening to turn into a full blown argument. No one was happy about the disturbances in and around the venue during and after the fights and everyone was looking to blame someone else. Inwardly, Penth sighed. She knew that the transgenetics were likely responsible for the disturbances -- self control seemingly NOT one of the characteristics being developed in them -- but she couldn't tell the men that. So instead she waded into the fray and tried to be the voice of calm and reason amid the testosterone.....

	PD exits the apartment, with a bag over her shoulder, holding spare Blade clothes, as she had used those that she kept in the club. She begins to drive off, and reaches the club quickly, having taken a few shortcuts that Penth would deem unwise except for use in emergencies.

	A discreet cell phone call from the Club puts Penth's mind at ease about PD. Penth considers it unlikely that someone would try anything in such a public place. Besides, the Club's staff was dedicated and well, if discreetly, armed and anyone trying anything would find themselves in a world of hurt in short order. The kind of chaos that occurred at their previous location would not be tolerated at her establishment, no matter WHO the perpetrator was or knew! Penth was finally able to leave the venue having soothed everyone's feelings after suggesting that perhaps outside forces were responsible for the disturbances -- gangs were a possibility -- and that increased security would likely solve the problem. The men seized on that as a solution to the "who is to blame?" problem and after hashing out who would pay for the increased security, she left them reasonably confident that they would not come to blows once she was gone.

	"That was well done, my Lady." Penth turned toward the voice even as her bodyguards reached for their guns. At her signal, they relaxed but only slightly. She recognized the speaker as the Head of one of the more important vampire Houses in the city. "Thank you," she replied. "I did nothing but state the obvious." "Perhaps but it was still skillfully done. I wanted to tell you that we are investigating the "situation" that you brought to our attention." "Thank you but you really didn't need to come and tell me in person." He took her hand in his and kissed it, never taking his eyes from her face. "It was my pleasure, my Lady." And with a nod to her protectors, he gathered his own bodyguards and disappeared into the thinning crowd.

	"Of course they are. Your brother has come out of nowhere and is making fools of all the favorites. The odds makers are having massive, multiple coronaries at the money he is costing them and media is going nuts." Penth took a sip of her drink and sighed appreciatively. "Which is good because of the publicity he is generating. Even with paying our share of the increased security, we will make a nice profit on this event."

	You couldn't know and you got cocky. In some ways, you are a female copy of our Sire and I fully understand why he choose you. What we need to do now is find some way to get you healed. I really wish right now that we had the resources of a House. I dislike having to ask for favors since, sooner or later, they have to be paid back and I haven't always liked what I've had to do in return.

Her tone leaves no room for argument. "But you are going to get some rest first. And some hemo. It can't hurt and it could help."

	in some ways it's good thing, because i'm fighting with a lot more aggression. In that first fight I spooked my opponent when my eyes turned the colour of ice with fury and pain which enabled me to get him on the floor

	But if he had managed to land a blow directly on the wound the outcome might have been considerably different. If nothing else, seeing Blade with a bullet hole on the same day that his sister was shot would give the wrong people ideas.
