A serving girl brings her a pitcher of iced tea with a glass of ice and the Keyholder smiles her gratitude. Politics was thirsty work as well as trying to the nerves! She has a second helping of soup before allowing a server to remove plate, glass and mug.

If "they" should be as so unwise to comment, I tell them to mind their own business -- as forcefully as necessary. Now, by most standards, I'm considered a proper woman. I keep my Castle and ride herd on my unruly offspring but I have, when needed, fought goblins, and zombies and just about every vile thing you can imagine. I've raided dungeons, stolen treasure from under a sleeping dragon's nose and lived to tell the tale! I can teach you how to be a proper lady, Jasmine, when you want or need to be one. I can also teach you how to be a warrior and a woman.� The Keyholder steps back into the darkness and disappears.

For some reason, she felt a bit shy about asking the younger woman about him and until she had puzzled out why she was reacting that way, she would put off making inquiries. Of course, if the opportunity to catch him presented itself, she would certainly take it and get her answers straight from the source!

Much to her disappointment, the handsome Darklord did not seem to care one way or the other about her. This stung her pride more than a little and she resolved to do something about it. She hadn�t decided what action to take but she had several ideas.

The matriarch of the Nightkin tribe wasn�t especially happy about his secrecy but he had assured her that he meant Penthesilea and her family no harm and that he was merely assuring himself that it was safe to reveal himself before he did so. He hinted at previous ocassions when lack of caution on his part had had disasterous consequences and that was enough to convince her to remain silent. She knew all too much about disasterous consequences.

	#1336 [Rewritten by Penthesilea] The next morning.. Penthesilea dressed for the day in tough work clothes. There was an overwhelming amount of work to do inside of the Mile Wall to get the estate back into shape. She could have used magick to do it but magick of that type could be undone by any number of countermeasures. Penth was of the opinion that the job of clearing and building, once done, should stay done. That meant manual labor of which she had never been afraid. So every morning she and her girls dressed accordingly and joined the work crews.
