MoonCat: I thought you'd have the chocolate cake. Penthesilea: around a spoonful of ice cream. That's for after dinner. Spirit: Planning vigorous workout in the Training Hall? Penthesilea: Planning a vigorous workout on the rebuilding crew. eats last bite of ice cream and gives the empty bowl to a passing servant. I'm off. What do you two have planned for the rest of the day? MoonCat: Since we've done all we can do with the restoration, we're going back to Crowhaven and start snooping around. We still don�t know who is trying to kill you. Penthesilea: Okay. Don't scare up anything you can't handle. Spirit: There is very little that we can't handle, Mother. Penthesilea: I know but I'm a Mom! I worry! Penthesilea and her daughters go their separate ways...

The tabby is the oldest and is called the Hearth Queen, the largest of the blacks is the War Queen, the second black female is the Black Huntress and the only male is a handsome black called The Black Prince. They are Children of Bast and the beloved companions to the Keyholder and her daughters.

	#1208 Penthesilea As the sun rises, the cooking crew heads for the barbecue pits to begin roasting the meats for the welcoming celebration. Whole sides of beef and pork are placed on spits over a huge bed of coals and other large cuts are buried in a pit with hot stones to sloooowwwly cook. Other workers begin to set up tables and benches, tents and canopies. The gaming field is prepared for the races and tests of skill. The stage is set up for the musicians and singers.

She is a seamstress by trade and a gifted one. She has found life in Crowhaven to be less than ideal and is hoping to find a position in the Keyholder�s service. Jasmine Nightshade is also among the newcomers. She suspects that Darklord Kodiak has moved onto the Castle grounds somewhere since he no longer has a room at the inn where he was staying. She doesn�t want to admit it to anyone but she is powerfully attracted to him and their one night together was the most satisfying of her life. She had to find him! And if worming her way onto the Keyholder�s estate would accomplish that, then she would play any part she had to!

She then arranges for her to have quarters in the Housekeeping Tower since that is where the sewing rooms are located. That settled, Miranda begins to get acquainted with the other residents of the Castle. She sees Alexander in the crowd and finds him very attractive. She arranges her bodice to her advantage and goes to introduce herself.

And I love deep purple, especially in formal wear. I'm going to have a formal occasion with my Knights, probably in a few days, and I'll wear it then if it can be ready in time.�
