	I can't help it. This cracks me up every single time! I think that it's the cat's expression that does it. That and the fact that I've known a number of cats who would do just that!

	There! Moonie's cake is in the oven so I can be naughty for a few minutes. I'm not going back into that hot kitchen to clean up until the oven's off! The creative cognitive functions are still not completely online but I'm going to put Chapter 8 on the desktop and see what I can do with it. Every little bit helps.

	I've been sitting here listening to one of my favorite albums [DragonHeart soundtrack] and vegging while I disintered some metaphorical corpses. It is good to look back and tonight seemed like a good time. Maybe that's because "The Wheel of Fortune" (that tarot card not the game show) showed up in my dreams this week. The overall feeling of the dream was positive so I'm thinking that our fortunes could be on the upswing. While things have been going pretty good here, some things have definitely been on the "descending" stroke of the wheel for the past few years. Nothing stays "down" forever -- unless you make a conscious effort to stay down -- so I would say we're due to be on the "upswing" side of the wheel. I could say more but my thoughts are too disorganized and I really don't feel like having to come back to this post at a later date to batter it into some sense! So, I'll quit now and see about getting dinner going while I contemplate the turning of the Wheel of Fortune......

	Still feeling introspective but I'm thinking about conspiracies now. How they come together, how they work, how they fall apart. Conspiracies are a big part of Book 3 so at least a little bit of my brain needs to be thinking about them. So many people, so much effort and the primary objective was NOT [or is it "WILL not be"? Confused verbs again!] achieved. Lots and lots of unintended consequences/fallout though. Should be fun to write once I get in the proper mindset. Might need to add some characters to flesh the whole thing out a bit. I was writing fast the first time and couldn't take the time to develop things properly. Now is the time to correct that. AS SOON AS MY DAMNED NOSE WILL COOPERATE!! sigh I'm making chili for dinner. THAT should open up our stuffy heads, yeah, the girls are stuffy too. It's almost ready. Later.

	Skywise is home and I'm going to head out. There is some laundry on the bed that needs to be put away and since Moonie finally got around to telling me what flavor of frosting she wants on her birthday cake, I've got to make the frosting and frost the cake. (She chose vanilla by the way. The cake's chocolate.) Twenty six years ago tonight, Skywise and I were already in bed since I had a very early appointment for an induction attempt. (The first one was on the 21st but Moonie didn't want to share her b-day with her daddy!) We didn't know that by the next night, we'd be the parents of a beautiful little girl. We didn't even know if we were having a boy or a girl. Ultrasounds weren't that detailed back then. Moonie decided it was time and in due course she made her entrance. I'll post her b-day greetings later. Right now, the cake needs my attention! Everyone sleep well and be safe. [smiley=goodnight.gif]

	Afternoon. Still have "nose troubles" and I've almost completely lost my voice but it's Moonie's birthday and my World Dance cd came so it's a good day. Of course, the cd isn't listed in the database that iTunes uses so I'm going to have to enter the data for all 32 songs by hand. sigh Oh well, it looks like there is some stuff on there I can use so it's all good. Gotta go put the candles on Moonie's cake so we can have some before her father leaves for work. Later.

	Nose is stopped up and I'm starting to run a fever. Not much of one but still, it's fever. I'm going to go lay down for a bit before I fix the girls' dinner. I haven't decided if I'm going to eat or not. I know I should but I don't know if I'll feel like fixing anything. drags self to nice, dark bedroom.

	I just took some aspirin for my fever. I'm running about 1.5 degrees of one. Normally, I'd let it ride until bedtime but I need to fix the girls some dinner and eat something myself even if I'm not especially enthusiastic about it. And yeah, my nose was open until I stood up. Now it's closed again. grrrrrrrr....... I have a sinking feeling that I'm gonna be sicker tomorrow. That's how it usually goes with me. Time to take a zinc.....

	Morning. Last night was not fun. Cough syrup notwithstanding, I was up coughing about half the night -- when I wasn't sneezing and/or blowing my nose. I got a few hours of sleep anyway. I took my temp when I got up about 45 minutes ago. It was 101.2. sigh Not a healthy little writerperson. I haven't taken anything for the fever yet. I'm going to let it ride and assist in the epic battle my body is putting up. I know it's "epic" cause I feel like hell! And I'm still coughing.// I don't think I'm going to get much done today. I'll be back sometime, just don't know when.

	Skywise has gone into town for KCF. There's no way I can cook tonight. I haven't checked my temp recently but my cough is tightening up so as soon as I get a little something in my stomach I'll be hitting the cough syrup. Moonie's here with me, she has a pretty good cough too but she doesn't have a temp and seems to be on the upswing healthwise. Need to lay down. Later.

	Skywise got back with the chicken, I ate and promptly fell asleep! I slept for about 3 hours and didn't cough and I haven't coughed any since I woke up. Keeping my fingers crossed. I haven't checked my temp in a while. I will in about ten minutes.

	Well, I've started coughing again but not that "hacking up one's farthest most guts" kind of coughing and it's still productive. My temp is slowly going down. I just took it and it was 99.8. I don't feel quite as tired as I did this morning. I'm going to resist the temptation to "do something" now that I feel a little better. I don't want to relapse. Later.

	Morning. Things went well last night until about 5 am when I starting hacking up my guts. I finally gave up and took some cough syrup and got back to sleep. As a result, I've very hoarse this morning. Skywise says I sound like I'm going to start honking like a goose. sigh I haven't taken my temp yet. I'll do that next.

	97.6 The temp is normal! Here's hoping it stays that way. Skywise and the girls went into town to get some stuff he needs to do some repairs and I stayed home with the kitties. I don't want to "push" it. I do hope they bring me back some lunch...
