	L Lifemate (life-mate) n. 1. A term of endearment usually used between persons who are handfasted. 2. Informal term for one�s consort. Living Vampire Virus (liv-ing VAM-pir �VIR-us) (a.k.a. LV2 ) n. A virus that gives the infected a number of the characteristics of vampires including a craving for fresh, usually humanoid, blood. The virus is passed from person to person in the same manner in which a true vampire (see also) is created. �The victim is drained nearly to death and then fed on infected blood. This brings the victim back from the brink of death and within three to five days, they begin to exhibit the symptoms of infection, the first being sensitivity to light. Increased strength and stamina come next, followed by a keener senses of smell, touch and hearing. �The fangs necessary for feeding appear last along with the Vampire�s Kiss (see also). Like true vampires, a half-vampire�s eyes will glow red when hunting, when angered or when fighting. Unlike true vampires, half-vampires are not immortal. They may age more slowly than the uninfected but they age and can be killed as easily as the uninfected. �There is no cure or treatment. Lovemate (love-mate) n. Common term of endearment. Minions are not members of the Order of Dark Knights but are considered trustworthy by members of the Order and are held to the same standards of conduct. Moonfire (moon-fire) n. �An atmospheric phenomena in which one or both moons appear to be surrounded by a deep green glow. N O Ohso (OH-so) n. (pl. sos) 1. A small vicious mammal native to cities usually found in dens near dumps or in any area where garbage collects and general sanitation is poor. They are omnivores and will eat anything including each other but will only resort to cannibalism if other food is scarce. � P Q
