	Working on the synopsis. Some online sources say to make it multiple pages but the agent listings usually say one page so I'm going with what the agents want to see. The idea is to make them want to read the whole thing, after all! Right now, I'm going to take a tiny break while I think about what I want to say next. I think I've made a good start. Later.

	Well, my break turned out to be a bit longer than I'd expected but it was worth it. The synopsis is finished, pending review by Skywise. It would be useful to read synopses of works that were published just for study purposes but I've yet to find any online so I'll have to go with my gut. And go do some laundry and dishes since I can't do any more on my synopsis! Later.

	Skywise is home and the rain that's been threatening all evening has yet to arrive. This is a good thing since it would be nice for "Sinister Bog" to dry out a bit after the July 4th rains! Got laundry on the bed so I'd better get it put away. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon! We made a quick trip to Floral Gulch for lunch and Spirit was able to add considerably to her Smurf collection. I don't know why those little blue guys appeal to her so much but they do. It was a "Smurfy" Yule for her and she's been hauling in Smurfs whenever she finds them since. Whatever makes my girl happy. Moonie decided to get two brownies at Chik-fil-A today so there is chocolaty goodness in my future... Something to look forward to for later this afternoon. Now, I need to get caught up. Later.

	I've been checking out various agents and making note of what they want to see: query letter, synopsis and either some pages from the first chapter, the first chapter itself or a random chapter. I've picked out the "random" chapter I'll send if needed. It has most of the major players in it and gives a decent look at their personalities. Things are progressing..

	CRACK! Checked out my printer a while ago. It's being cranky in an unacceptable way. Going to have to troubleshoot it. I DID find out that a smaller text size is perfectly readable "printed". This is good because it means less paper used and less $$ needed to mail the manuscript out. The bad news is that changing the text size necessitates fixing the page numbers since changing the size changes the number of lines on the page. Everything moves up and the page numbers are now near the middle of the page, most places. I've just started renumbering Chapter 5 and I've already "lost" 27 pages. I'm going to have to quit for the moment and get a few things done that I need to do before I fix dinner. Tomorrow is also payday and I've lists and deposit slips to make out. Better get busy! 	Busy payday. Lots of "stuff" to deal with. sigh "Pop-up" storms popping up. I've already had to shut the comp down once and I won't be surprised if I end up doing it again. Working on renumbering Chapter 11. I've "downsized" some of the supplements too since I will likely be sending at least the glossary out with the manuscript, probably won't need the "Cast List" until Book 3. I'll likely edit the cast list a bit since some of the characters listed in the "Knights" section haven't appeared in the books -- yet -- but I wanted to have their names ready for when I needed them. And that's it from here. Later.

	Renumbering is finished. I'll have to proofread it but that can wait for a day or two. I "lost" 97 pages with the size/font changes so that will help some with the expenses -- paper, ink and postage -- when it comes time to send it out. Need to check the radar and take a bit of a break. Later.

	Had dinner, yakked with Nike for a while, finally cooled off, posted some silly quizzes and now I'm getting sleepy. Thinking I'll be heading to bed -- for sleeping! -- after Skywise gets home. 	A "Silly Quiz" I took last night has me thinking. I need more "girly stuff." I've been doing the "mom thing" for a long time now and dressing the part. Since I intend to "be out and about" more once my professional life takes off -- and I'll likely need to be -- I need to update the wardrobe and such. Not much spare cash to devote to that at present since my taste tends to run to "classics" that aren't cheap but I can start the planning and picking up the first few pieces. Gonna need jewelry too.....

	Observation: Some people are just, fundamentally, toads and no amount of "kissing" will turn them into royalty. �Sad fact but there it is. Better to cut your losses and clear out before you catch their "warts." The preceding observation was made after reading yet another* online lament by a young woman who is involved with a "total" loser whose moral character leaves a great deal to be desired. He's a jerk but she loves him... Maybe he'll change. sigh Yeah. When the sun rises in the north.... And of course, "toads" come in both sexes. I've just been hearing/reading about the males more here of late.*

	Quiet day. Or at least it was once Skywise was finished cutting the grass! Looking forward to a quiet evening too. Gonna make chili and cornbread for dinner. We're expecting it to be cool enough and dry enough to turn off the A/C and open the house up after dark. Gonna work on my belly dance glossary for a while before I start cooking. 	Chili's started and I've managed to add a few more moves to my dance glossary. So it's all good. I found myself walking through Wal-Mart this afternoon pushing my cart and doing "forward figure-eights" (a hip move) without realizing it. Gotta wonder if anyone noticed.... giggle Later....
