	Been yahooing with Nike all evening. It's good for both of us to stay in touch. Annoyed that something I wrote this afternoon has decided to disappear. Don't know if Skywise will be able to find it or not -- it maybe gone for good. sigh I'll recreate it, of course but it is a pain in the Need to put the toppings on the pizzas. Later.

	Afternoon. We ran off and did the "Payday" thing this morning, came home and dived into cleaning. We worked until it was time for Skywise to get ready for work. He left about forty-five minutes ago and I'm getting ready to do a couple of loads of laundry. Skywise is mulling more drastic action against the Sinister Bog and the "Baby" bog that may require dirt delivery. I hope not, frankly, 'cause there is NO way a dump truck can get to where the dirt needs to go! Which means, the load would have to be dumped in the yard near the driveway and then hauled to where we need it. I'm well acquainted with the "hauling" part, it is just that it would make one Gods-awful muddy mess next to the driveway. I'm personally in favor of getting the dirt a few bags of top soil at a time and hauling them to the bogs. Much neater in terms of "muddy mess" and we would have more control over the amount. We'd get enough to fill everything in and mound it up a bit. Let it settle after a few rains and then add more where needed. Keeping these downpours we keep having from washing the dirt away once it is in place is gonna be another project. sigh One problem at a time... Later. I've got dishes and laundry to get done this afternoon and I'm going to have to space it out.

	The boycats are full of kittybeans and are tearing the house up. "Feline steeplechase" is the game of choice at the moment. We really need to get some sturdier kitty furniture. The War Queen is above it all....

	According to the radar, it should be raining. It's not but here isn't a leaf stirring out there and there's been a breeze all day. It could be that the rain just isn't making it to the ground. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

	Omm: The "storm" front passed and it never rained. Also on my mind: tigers are beautiful majestic creatures and I love them passionately. One of my fondest memories was being less than six feet away from a full grown tiger. Fortunately, there was a sturdy barrier between that beauty and me.... ETA: This beauty isn't the one I saw that day but seeing this picture reminded me of the occasion.

	Yawn The internet is singularly uninteresting tonight. Good thing I have plenty to keep me busy after dinner. Which is, come to think of it, something that I'd better get started on. Dinner that is. 	I have consumed sustenance and I'm beginning to feel human again. I've been prowling the web while waiting for the caffeine, carbs and protein to kick in and I'm finding a lot of what I can only describe as "whistling in the dark" -- an almost hysterical refusal to face the fact that there is something "paranormal" is going on. I'm thinking mostly about the crop circles in England. Granted some of them might be the work of vandals but the vast majority of them are too complex and are created too quickly to have been done by men with boards on their feet. The fact that no one has been caught in the act yet -- it seems reasonable to assume that a sharp eyed farmer or his alert watchdog would notice a human disturbance in the field -- also gives credence to extraterrestrial origin, at least it does in my book. �Crop circles aren't the only thing provoking knee jerk denial but it's what caught my attention this morning. Very few people seem willing to ask "What if it's true? What if it really is [fill in the blank]?" Even people who pride themselves on being outside the mainstream and being "open" to other possibilities can't seem to bring themselves to consider the possibility that something that would shake their worldview to its roots could be true. � Thing is, no amount of "denial" will make something that is "true" be "not true." �No matter how much one might wish that crop circles were the result of vandalism, that wish will not void the fact that they are too complex and are made too quickly (without breaking the plants involved and leaving behind faint residual radioactivity) to be made that way. No amount of ridicule or denial will make the unsettling prophesies from multiple cultures that focus on the same timeframe any less valid than prophesies that are comforting. Looking at such things with an open mind and a willingness to at least consider the possibilities is the least one can do in the name of "being open." Something to think about on a hot and hazy Sunday afternoon on Earth...

	The manuscript is reassembled. It is as good as it's going to get at this point in time. I'm satisfied with the query letter. I'll have to "customize" it before printing it out but that is a relatively minor detail now that I've gotten the "form letter" like I want it. I know which chapter I'm going to send if the agent I'm querying wants a chapter with the query letter. That just leaves the synopsis. Some sources say "One page. TOPS!" Others say "five to fifteen pages." � That's quite a gap. So that's my next "project" -- a synopsis that is concise, complete and hopefully makes the person reading it want to see the whole thing. Again.. [smiley=shocked019.gif] in spades. I feel like I'm doing the most important "book report" of my life... I need tea. Bad. Later.

	About finished with my rest period. I've been going over some online instructions for making a hip scarf for belly dancing. The woman who wrote them does NOT know how to write clear instructions! Fortunately since I have a pretty good idea what the finished item should look like, I'm seriously editing her work for my own use. [Thank the Gods for cut and paste!] I've seen a hip scarf online that I'll be using for inspiration for my own creation. I ABSOLUTELY love it but I'm not going to pay that much for it! I know. My frugal Scots ancestry is coming to the fore. I won't buy something if I can make it myself. Ah, time to get back to work.

	Busy morning is over with, thank the Gods! Skywise is off to work and the rest of the day promises to be routine. I've started on the synopsis -- finally figured out where and how to start -- and I'll likely be working on it all day with short detours into necessary housework! Spirit's already told me what I'm fixing for dinner so that is out of the way. She seems to have put herself in charge of menu planning which I don't mind since she does a pretty good job of it and I know that when she picks the menu she won't give me any static about eating! Need to get back to work. Later.
