	Dinner is done. Got a good start on my synopsis today. Made a hip scarf that just needs decorating. Been yakking with Nike most of the evening. It's all good.

	Skywise is home and I'm going to see if the sky has cleared enough to see the meteor shower. It was raining earlier so a "washout" is possible. After that, I'm going to try on my hip scarf and see how it looks. It doesn't have anything on it yet and that's what I have to do next. Anyway, everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Morning! We saw a few meteors last night before the moon got too bright. We'll try again tonight since it is supposed to be clear, whether or not it is will depend on Indiana's totally unpredictable weather! Still yawning. Think I need tea. Later.

	Moonie has the boycats outside. The weather is bearable after more than a week of high temps and humidity. The boycats are gamboling through the catnip bed and the scent is darn near overpowering! Good thing I like the smell! It's also a good thing that I'll be able to buy more plants next spring to expand -- or repair! -- the bed!

	I'm slowly getting this synopsis written. Thank the Gods for word processing software! If I was composing it on a typewriter I would have worn my fingers bloody with the rewrites! As it is, the fingers are in great shape! I'm going to be taking a break soon, need to get my dance practice in. I've been neglecting it lately and I need to get stern with myself. I've also been trying to remember to eat once in a while. Nike gets cross with me when I let my blood glucose bottom out. Doesn't feel so good either! Enough goofing off, back to writing!

	Dance practice is done and I'll be heading into the kitchen to get the dishwasher started as soon as I hit "post." I gave my undecorated hip scarf a "test drive" and I've come to the conclusion that the instructions I found on "How to make a Hip Scarf" should be titled "How NOT to make a Hip Scarf." The thing is too wide by a mile. I'm going to have to scrap those instructions and write my own. Fortunately, I can probably cut it down so that it works like it's supposed to. I just have to figure out how much I need to cut off. Oh well, time for that later. Right now, check the email and head for the kitchen. Later.

	Skywise is on his way to work and I've been reading about Gen Con which opens in Indy today. http://www.theindychannel.com/entertainment/20382153/detail.html Wish we could go but vacation doesn't start until next month. 	The synopsis progresses, thank the Gods! I'm up to mid-chapter 11 of 14. It's about three pages long and it should be about 4 or 5 by the time I'm finished. Once it's done, I'll let it "set" for a day or two then go over it again. Barring anything catastrophic, next week should see the start of the "query process." Right now, however, I need a snack. 	I'm up to five pages on the synopsis and I'm nearly finished. I might even get it done tonight. Tomorrow for sure. I should do my dance practice tonight but I think I'm going to press on with the synopsis. I know that I'm not going to be able to concentrate on the dancing if I'm thinking about the synopsis which I will be until it's finished and I'm going to have to stop in about an hour and start on dinner. 	I can't call the synopsis "finished" but all the information that I'm going to put in it is there. I just have to make sure that it is in the right order which I'm not entirely sure of at the moment! Anyway, it's time to make the pizzas so I've put it to bed at least for the moment. If I don't get back to it tonight, I've done a good day's work on it and tomorrow should see it finished. Which means..... the query letters start going out next week.... �

	I decided that the best way to be sure that my synopsis was in order was to make a separate chapter by chapter chronology. So that's what I've been doing today around necessary chores. Now, I'm FINALLY able to start going through the synopsis. The first part is in pretty good shape. It is in the latter part of the book when things start happening *fast* that it is hard to keep things straight. I still should finish up today with final polish, if needed, tomorrow. Everything remains on track. I think I'm going to make myself a sandwich and then dive in. Later.

	Okay. The synopsis is DONE! Or at least it is as done as it's gonna get for the moment. Now it gets to "sit" for a day or two. Then I'll go back and look it over again, make any needed changes, add headings and page numbers and then print it. Query letters should be going out Monday or Tuesday.... I need a drink! Gonna have to be root beer... Later.

	Been talking to Nike most of the evening while I worked on decorating my hip scarf and on NOT thinking about writing although now that Book One is as finished as I can get it -- pending suggestions from an editor preparing it for publication -- and the synopsis is also done, I'll likely start on whipping Book 2 into shape this weekend. �I don't think that Book 2 will need much more in the way of new material -- it's almost as long as Book 1 right now -- but I could be wrong. A thorough read through will probably be the first thing on my list. Working on it will keep me busy while I hunt for an agent! � Right now, I'm going to run some trim through the sewing machine. Later.

	I've been roaming the web between chores and I'm checking out Sherrilyn Kenyon's site, also called Sanctuary. �I'm thinking that we'll likely need a dedicated "Samgaran only" site when things get rolling good. I saw a picture of her in her latest hardcover release. She's a red-head, not surprisingly, and I think that she looks pretty good for her mid-forties. Gonna have to start thinking about such things again: clothes, makeup, hair, "presentation." Work shirts, jeans and athletic shoes aren't going to cut it once I'm out in the public eye. [Pout! I HATE heels. Unless they're on boots... Maybe I should build my "look" around boots. ] I know. "Sell the book FIRST!" Thinking about things I'll need to do after it's sold keeps my mind off of the "selling" anxiety and secondly, serves as positive reinforcement of the "book published and selling like mad!" visualization. �

	Got the first row of trim on my hip scarf and modeled it for Skywise.... � I think I'm on the right track! I'm going to put a line of bells along the bottom hem for jingle and at least another row of coins for flash. After that, I'll see what it needs. Right now, I need to pay attention to dinner! Later. Edited to add a picture of the bells I'm using. They're 12mm, brass with silver colored plating.
