	Morning! I've been up for a while, had a few things to do. Got Skywise's work schedule -- subject to change with little notice -- so I know how MY week is going to be arranged. "Pay bills and shop" tomorrow, "Bake pies" on Wednesday and "Payday" on Friday which is gonna be a pain since he has the late shift on Thursday and the early one on Friday. sigh I'm going to see if I can find a way to reduce the amount of Friday's chaos somehow. The girls checks will likely arrive Saturday and that means another trip to the bank. It's shaping up to be a week for track shoes... Later.

	Skywise is in the shower, his food is packed and the item at the top of my "To Do" list is checked off. �So far so good today. Need to put in some time cleaning the basement and the kitchen. Also need to get the printer cartridge installed and get some "book stuff" done. That should be enough to keep me more or less out of trouble today! Later! Post # 14,300

	Thinking about next year's Halloween. �The idea of getting a "good" set of fangs has definite appeal. I'll be ordering my ring at the end of November and my "gun fund" will be big enough after the next tax refund check so maybe I should start a "fang fund". �Add fangs and just about any outfit becomes a costume. � I'm sure that Skywise would find the whole thing VERY interesting..... Besides, I feel like I have fangs in my mouth most of the time anyway...

	The day can only improve. As we were leaving for town, we found a kitten dead in the road, a little tom. He'd been dumped and didn't make it across the road. We buried him with full honors. I called the Hearth Queen in to take care of this new little ghost cat. May Bast bless and keep him.

	"The amount of Chaos will expand to fill the time available to deal with it!" ~Me~ I was in the bedroom getting my journal caught up and Skywise was on the comp balancing the checkbook. It was a bit before 2. I hear a sound from the general area of the computer that could mean either "Okay, that chore's done!" or "Oh !" I rolled off of the bed to investigate. I get to the dining room, where this computer is, to find Skywise going over the bank statement very closely. "The mortgage payment isn't on here," says he. "Oh !" thinks I. I grab the mortgage payment notice that arrived yesterday and opened it. Repeat The notice said that we were a month in arrears and were being charged penalties and a double payment was expected. Digging out of last month's receipt for the payment ensued. We rounded up the girls, got them moving and, paperwork in hand, we're off to the bank. We arrived at a little after 2. Fortunately, they weren't busy and the tellers got to work on the problem. The teller who had taken the payment was on duty and clearly remembered doing the transaction. Forty-five minutes, three tellers, a "personal banker" and a number of phone calls later, it was straightened out. Electronic payments are supposed to make things EASIER! We also made the mortgage payment that is due on the 1st. We will be checking back next week to be sure everything is credited properly. Then we went to MacDonald's. �Skywise needed to eat and we got the girls a treat for patiently waiting in the van -- where they were frankly more comfortable -- while we did this. Then we made a quick stop at the store and hit our door at 4:00. � Skywise has left for work. I still have those pies to make -- which I intended to have done by now! -- and everything else that I have planned for this evening to do. snark! First thing I'm going to do is finish catching up my journal, then I'll decide the best way to multi-task this evening.. Later. Probably a LOT later. sigh �

	The last pie will be out of the oven in 20 - 25 minutes. After that, I'll start cleaning up the kitchen AGAIN, wash the dishes and get dinner. Since Skywise has the super-late shift tonight, I'll do my workout after midnight or thereabouts and just get ready for bed after. Right now, I'm going to veg just a tiny bit while I do a little research. Later.

	Pie's out of the oven. Nearly dropped the damned thing! Thank Hestia I didn't! I hate using foil pans but I know why they are popular with "pitch ins." If it's empty at the end of the meal, you can pitch it and not worry about washing it and, possibly, returning it to its owner. They are, however, a to handle when the food is right out of the oven! The kitchen is cooling off now. As soon as the pies can be safely moved, I'll start dinner.. I'm ready... In other news, trying to write the lyrics to a song that I'm going to need for the books "down the line." I know what the music sounds like, just need the words.

	Afternoon. We're back from Floral Gulch and I'm beat. Methinks that I pushed it a little too hard yesterday after pushing it hard all week. I think I'll be skipping the workout today bad as I hate too. A nap and some zinc are probably a better idea. I REALLY don't need to be sick right now so I better rest before the Universe decides to make me rest. I've gotten my horoscope for tomorrow and it's very interesting. It's a "long term" thing, outer planet and slow moving, and I'm going to need to do a little research and think about it. Right now though, zinc and nap. Later. Post # 14,321

	Wanted to spend the day in bed with Skywise. �Unfortunately, he had to go to work. Poo! I'm hoping we can steal some time tomorrow. I like dozing off in his arms. Alternately, I like it when he dozes off while holding me. giggle He snores but I don't mind. Since a lazy afternoon cuddle is out of the question I guess I'll do something useful once my nails are completely dry. Black polish, of course. 'Tis the season, after all. Later.
