	Skywise is home and he's just reminded me that today -- the 30th -- was the 10th anniversary of a car pulling out in front of us on the highway. We were accelerating, didn't have time to brake or do anything but T-bone the other car. The impact sent the other car off of the road and down an embankment. By the grace of the Gods, no one was riding shotgun in the other car or they would have been killed. Both cars were totaled.

	giggle About three hours ago, Spirit when through the house and changed all the clocks. The only timepieces still showing Daylight Savings Time (which is still in force at the moment) are our wristwatches (Skywise's and mine) and the clocks on the computers! She wants to be SURE that we don't forget!

	Daylight Savings Time is over for another year. THANK THE GODS!! Someday, someone will realize what a stupid idea it is and do away with it all together. Right now, I'm going to head out and get some sleep. Enjoy the rest of the night and then sleep well and be safe.

	Morning! It's bright and sunny today if a tad chilly. Skywise has taken the cats for a walk and the furpersons are quite happy about it. Skywise went looking for a "document" site that he'd previously gotten material from (all he wanted fortunately) and found that it had been shut down. It was a Geocities site. Need tea and a bite, back later.

	I've been amusing myself on the website of the local ABC affiliate. They allow comments on most of their news stories. The top story currently is about the beating and attempted murder of a State Representative by a younger male acquaintance, both lawyers. �Too many of the comments implied that either sex and/or drugs were involved despite there being no evidence to support that. A likely motive has surfaced (revenge for a court case that went against the younger man's father) and I've been happily reporting the most offensive remarks to the station. It did my little heart good. �

	We may have just had a breakthrough. A few minutes ago, the Prince of Midnight was asleep on the floor next to the sofa. In front of him was an empty box that the War Queen has been sleeping in. I heard a noise and looked and there was the Queen with her feet in the box having a "staredown" with the Prince. She HAS been chasing him all over whenever the mood struck her. It's been so bad that we've been confining her to our bedroom when we leave. Anyway, they were less than a foot apart. The Prince was laying down and not showing the least inclination to give way. The Queen turned away, turned back, then turned away and left. The Prince of Midnight has gone back to sleep. We'll see how things go. If she decides to "respect" him, we'll have no further problems and there will be peace in Ghost Cat Hall which I am hoping for. I haven't been looking forward to winter when the furpersons get stircrazy. That duly reported, I'm heading out. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. We went to Greenwood this morning. I didn't find the book I want. Poo! We hit Menard's and Home Depot and got some ideas for the kitty yard design. Re-thinking the design again which is good. It improves with every revision and by the time we're ready to start building, it should be as good as we can get it. It was noisy here a few minutes ago. Several flocks of geese were over the house forming up for their migration south. They were so high up I could barely see them but there had to be more than a hundred of them up there. It looked like every goose in the area was heading out. Wonder if they know something we don't... Gonna get caught up now and get a couple of things done before Skywise leaves. Later.

	Observation: I'm glad I'm NOT a "re-con" of any sort. They remind me WAY too much of the medieval Christian scholars who argued over points of doctrine to the point that the only thing that came to matter was "who is right" rather than reaching a consensus about the doctrine in question. It's no wonder I'm a solitary!
