	I got myself some tea and a bite to eat. Also got the meat out for the chili I'm going to make later and made a little headway in cleaning up the kitchen. I will now retire to the bedroom for a while. At least I'm coughing less this morning/afternoon. Later.

	Gonna be making dinner once I recover from the coughing fit I just had. For a minute there, I thought I was going to pass out. To add insult to injury, it was an unproductive cough. At least I got some rest this afternoon

	Cough seems a bit better. I still have a temperature but it's backed off a little. Nose is now stuffy but the rest of the head is okay so far. Going to get caught up and then so back to bed. It's going to take forever to get dinner made tonight.

	"Head cold" is still confined to the nose. Beginning to think that it's an allergy. Coughing more or less under control. Dinner almost ready. I don't have an appetite but I'm going to eat anyway. Nike says my body will thank me for it.

	I think I'm better but I'm still tiring out pretty fast. Dang difficult to get anything done and there's a LOT that needs to be done around here with me being 'out of service' for most of the last week! sigh Time to rest for a while.

	Dinner's in the oven and I'm glad. I'm feeling blech and tired. I'm coughing less so I'm hoping that I'm almost over the "chest" part of the proceedings. Now if I can just get my nose to go along with the program, I'll be all set. At least I've managed to figure out the "why" of the new subplot for Book 3 as in, "why here and why now?" Holding innocent if stupid people hostage to force a moral person to your will is always a winning motivation for a bad guy. I also figured out who and how a death is going to come about. And I've also got the beginnings of a very impressive "amazon smackdown/cage fight" in mind so I guess this layoff hasn't been a complete waste of time. � I just wanna get back to work.... pout

	Afternoon. I've been up for about half an hour. I was able to sleep through the night last night and consequently, slept a good deal! I'm not coughing much so far and the nose is behaving too. Need to start getting caught up. Fortunately, laundry is the most pressing task and it isn't too taxing. So I'll be doing laundry today. Might write some too. But first, tea and a bit of breakfast is in order.

	Doing laundry. Need to come up a name for the new forum I'm going to put up as soon as I have a name for it! There is stuff waiting to be posted! Just finished lunch. Wishing I had a few million dollars so I could invest in a fledgling microbrewery I know about AND start an "intentional community" around the family homestead consisting of like minded individuals. We could grow most if not all of our food, generate our own power, raise and educate our kids and generally "disconnect" from society as much as possible. Yeah. Sounds good. But first.... NAME THAT FORUM! Later.

	New forum is up. Sleepycat should be in tonight or tomorrow to start putting stuff up. Laundry is proceeding. The pile is getting smaller. I think I'll do one more load after the one currently in the washer is dry and then call it a night, laundrywise. I still have to put it away after all! Spirit and Moonie have decided what they want for dinner so that's taken care of. Now I just need to think of something for me to eat.

	Last load of laundry -- for today -- is in the washer. There are about 3 loads left but they can wait until tomorrow. Thinking about a character I need to create for a fight scene. Our Heroine is gonna have her Amazon credentials called into question publicly and Amazon tradition -- not to mention law -- requires a rather.... hmmm... "robust" response. Our Girl is nothing if not Amazon so it's gonna be "amazon cage fight" time. Should be fun....

	Had some breakfast and I'm feeling less fuzzy in the head. Getting the crud out of it is helping too. I'm still on the mend so that's good. Gonna put out Chapter 3 and the subplot and see what I can do with them. Also on my mind: Wishing we had enough cash to buy more land outright. I wanna establish an intentional community but that takes cash both for operating/development expenses and to buy land. �From my reading, I've concluded that if it is at all possible, "doing it" without bank financing is the best way to go. Unfortunately, "the bank" is where the money is and they have their long, sticky tendrils in everything. I've found an "ownership" model that I like -- it solves the problem of owner equity -- but it would take a big chunk of change to buy out our neighbors and get the necessary "cleared" land that the community would need. Guess I'll have to concentrate on making my novels the most popular books since the Harry Potter series...... � �

	Working on Chapter 3, fleshing out a ballroom scene that I condensed severely first time around. I don't want to "pad" it but "showing" the action is usually better than "telling" it. Need a little snack, I think. Gonna be a while before I start making dinner.

	Had snack. Working on Chapter 3. It's not terribly demanding writing at the moment which is good. I'm not "up" for any heavy dramatic/emotional stuff right now. Give me a couple of days and I'll be able to write the death scene I have finally gotten figured out to my satisfaction! AND get a start on the Amazon cage fight I'm going to need. I'm just not sure where I'm going to put it aside from the fact that it needs to be in the first half of the book before Our Heroine goes on her road trip and the chaos that is "the Handfasting" kicks into high gear. The reaction of the major PITA (at this point in the story) to the news that the woman he's trying to bully into marriage is over a thousand years old AND an iconic figure in Amazon history should be interesting to write, giving me a good opportunity to flesh out his character since he's more of a cardboard cutout right now. Or at least he is to my way of thinking. Anyway, more work to do before I start dinner. Later.
